  1. Ability to control Intune Management Extension execution Flow

IT Pro needs the ability to customize the execution flow of the Intune Management extension on a per ESP page basis.

    Scenario:
Org A has 10 different user departments targeted with each targetd with a different ESP with required configuration.

For some departments, Applications need to execute before scripts, for other departments scripts need to execute before applications.

If IT Pros could modify the execution flow for each scenario, it would allow Org's to sequence execution alot better instead of having to use the Microsoft determined execution flow.

Instead of being told 'package the script as an app and make…

  2. Microsoft Teams without Intune enrollment

We use MaaS360 MDM in order to use the native Mail application for iPhones. Currently there is no way to separate Microsoft Teams while also assigning and protecting O365 SharePoint Online. In order to use Teams on mobile devices, we are forced to switch our users to Intune and use Outlook as their mail client or we would need to exclude the users from the policy which is not ideal.

  3. Company Portal app notifications badges

Company Portal app should notify a user via an app badge count when they receive an MDM notification. For example,
    1) For an admin manually pushed notification from the console.
    2) A device non-compliance notification/warning generated from the system.
    3) A new version of a published app available to the device/user.

  4. Intune device clean up rules for OS/Platform specific

    Hi

It would be better if we have a seperate Automatic clean up rules option to clean up Windows devices and Non windows devices . The conditions for a android, IOS devices will sure differ from Windows devices.

  5. Lock or block specific settings from being changed

Our school utilizes Clever which requires the camera to scan QR codes for student logins. We have had some students that disable the camera to use the excuse that they can't log in. Although there are fixes and workarounds for this I was thinking it would be nice to have some settings locked in an on or off position (depending on what is necessary) so that the end-user can't alter them.

  6. The ability to cancel a retire request on an Android phone.

It should be possible to cancel a retire request on an Android phone. I've put out a request to retire an Android Phone. Somehow, this went wrong and it seems it's now in a perpetual pending state...

  7. Native support for Desktop Analytics for AAD Joined and Hybrid AAD Joined MDM Only managed devices

There should be Native enrollment for Intune enrolled devices similar to ATP onboarding. Either a Device configuration profile, which includes CommercialID, AllowTelelmetry(with LimitEnhancedDiagnosticsDataWindowsAnalytics), and AllowDeviceNameInTelemetry. Or at least an article to onboard using a PowerShell script which can be deployed via Intune.

Currently even if devices are manually configured with these settings they will not appear in Desktop Analytics without an SCCM collection association.

This and similar analytics for Office 365 clients are big ticket missing items for the successful management of the Modern MDM managed devices, and the Windows/Office as a service platform.

  8. Force Location services ON in Intune for mobile devices as applications require them to be on

As some applications require location services always to be on can we please have a policy and or rule that enforces location services to be on all the time (forced)

in our device compliant it states location services must be on and all the devices with location services that are off are showing as non com pliant.

users currently have the ability to turn location services on and off and we want to be able to lock that down so location services are always on. Currently users have the ability to turn it off

can this please be added within…

  9. Disable App Discovery

For devices identified as corporate devices, allow administrators to disable the discovery of non-managed applications. Many orgs will not turn on Corporate ownership of devices due to privacy concerns of app discovery.

  10. Include column for last logged on user and last logged on datetime in All Devices blade.

Please include the user's UserPrincipalName that last logged on a device and the last logged on in datetime in the columns of the Windows devices blade (https://endpoint.microsoft.com/#blade/MicrosoftIntuneDeviceSettings/DevicesWindowsMenu/windowsDevices).

Preferably also viewable on the device blade itself, together with the Primary user and Enrolled by user.

This data is already available in Microsoft Graph: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/resources/intune-devices-loggedonuser?view=graph-rest-beta

  11. Support Multiple Sites / Locations

We need the ability to have multiple sites or locations with different configurations from enrolment restrictions and automated enrolment, all the way through to configuration profiles and applications.

e.g. Personas - One site for Production users and another for Developers
e.g. Locations - One site for New Zealand and another for Australia

This would allow companies to have greater separation of environments, locations and/or persona configurations from the ground up.

All other MDM's support this type of segregation and it allows for a much safer, simpler operating model.

  12. Can we have more Android settings in Android enterprise enroll like Battery settings and all the different settings we have in Android.

There is no way to deploy the custom device configuration policy for the Android enterprise fullymanaged and dedicated devices. I have been searching for a setting to change the battery indicator from Graphics to % in number but could not find any settings within Intune. It would be great if PG team can review all the android device settings and launch the settings in a device restriction or probably launch the device feature category for the android enterprise enrolled devices.

  13. Ability to Quickly Remove a Profile or App

In other MDMs, I have the ability to quickly remove and then potentially re-add a profile or app from a specific device. This is often necessary in iOS, in particular, in order to correct an issue with a profile or a failed app deployment. Currently, in InTune, I use a very convoluted process where I setup a group just for temporary exclusions. Then I add a user/device to that group and assign that group to the profile as an exclusion. This is all VERY slow, however. It's almost unusable.

  14. Intune Device controls

Move the Sync button to the left of the Retire, Wipe and Delete buttons. I am accustomed to working my way left to right when using control bars. I know there is a confirmation prompt, but it's still too easy to wipe a device since each control has a prompt and the confirm button can be pressed out of habit without enough consideration.

  15. COVID-19 App exposure (Intune MDM)

Now that Apple Has allowed the COVID-19 App exposure settings (inbuilt) are there any features in development where organisations will be able to lock the setting from being switched off for the authorised application in One’s respective country and controlled by intune MDM in respect to back to work strategy?

It would also be great if the Bluetooth setting can also be locked down to not be switched off since the exposure notification uses BLE.

  17. Hide apps & apply configuration on/off campus

Our current MDM solution allows for hiding specific apps when on campus which re-appear when the device is at home.
This is done through specifying our public IP address in the MDM as 'on campus' and only selecting certain settings to apply when the device is 'on campus'.
Because our iPads are personally owned and have personal apps installed we're able to hide the most common/disruptive apps (games, Netflix, iMessage) while on campus but allow their use when at home.
We're also able to apply certain restrictions to only apply while on campus.
The lack of this feature would be…

  18. Policy Sets should support all object types

The policy sets are a very cool feature but do not support some object types which would be really helpful:
    - PowerShell Scripts
    - Win32 and MSI Applications
    - Security Baselines

  20. Show display settings in the managed home screen

Currently the managed home screen allows the user to adjust volume settings, set bluetooth setting, and view device information. I would also like to give the device users the ability to adjust the display settings on a device.

Features like being able to adjust the brightness of the screen, turn on and off auto brightness, set the sleep interval, and the ability to turn on and off the auto-rotation of the screen.

We like the ability to lock down the tablets with the managed home screen, but it would be nice to give the device users the ability to adjust…
