  1. Software metering

We would like to have the possibility to have sofware metering available in intune. When we deploy licensed applications we would like to understand if the users are really uses them so we would be able to unassign them after x days they have not been used.

  2. Office 365 Install (Mobile apps) - Enable all options from configuration.xml

The Intune MDM Mobile Apps Office 365 installer, "Office 365 ProPlus Suite (Windows 10)" lacks features which can be configured with XML.

With configuration.xml you can specify stuff like:
    * PinIconsToTaskbar - Very usefull
    * Logging - A lot of the installations fail. Would be neat if we could set log level and log path.
    * ForceAppShutdown
    * ForceUpgrade

Please implement more options with the built in Intune MDM Office 365 client installer.

  3. Ability to approve Surface Pro firmware updates

I was told by Microsoft Intune support team to request this feature in the Intune Feedback site because there is no way to approve New Surface Pro firmware updates. When an Intune agent is installed you cannot install the firmware updates because they do not see it. As soon as the agent in uninstalled the firmware update shows up in Windows Update

  4. Ability to remove web clips that had been delivered from Intune and not already been managed by Intune

In the case of iPads, the web apps (external-link) from Intune are registered into Management Profiles in a condition which prohibits users from deleting web clips.
So when the administrator deletes web app from Intune without "uninstalling", there is no way to delete it except factory-resetting (i.e. removing Management Profile).
Actually, I am facing to this situation, but having all users do factory-reset is practically impossible.

  5. Auto-update flag for "Available for enrolled devices" assignment

As of version 1710, newer version of the app was pushed to the user in "Available for enrolled device" assignment for LOB apps.

Can we have an option within "Available for enrolled devices" to prevent auto-update. We want control over when the new version of the app is pushed to the user.

    Related to case 118031994150036

  6. Should be possible to remove apps in the app overview if they have been synced from WSFB

    Hi all,

Its not possible to remove applications in the app overview in Intune, that has been synced from WSFB. Not even if you refund the app in the store, the application is still visible in the app overview.
I've reported this to the support and they concluded the following "WSFB apps not removed from VPA section of Admin Console, Windows Application was not removed in Volume-Purchased Apps page after it was removed from private store in the Windows Store for Business website

Thus it will exist and we do not have any method to remove it and this stands…

  7. add the icon in the external link for the shortcut

When publishing external links as described in the article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/web-app

The link that is pushed to the windows 10 start menu has the default "edge logo in a file" icon. This is verry confusing for users as they overlook these and search for a recognizable logo or icon.

The icon is provided in the external link properties, why not add this as the icon for the shortcut?

  8. Add "Required" assignment option when deploying mobile apps of type "Windows store app"

At the moment, when assigning a Windows store type application to devices, there is no "Required" option available. It would be great if we could push out store apps automatically, just like one can do with MSI-type applications.

  9. Use the Managed Google Play iframe functionality

There are some serious limitations around how Intune integrates with the Managed Google Play store currently. One of these issues is the inability to support LOB apps on COSU devices.

By using the Managed Google iframe which is designed for EMM consoles to deliver these sorts of features, a lot more functionality would be available to all Android Enrollment types. More info:

  10. Option to deploy Office 365 desktop applications with Intune

Deploying the click-to-run Office 365 applications via Intune is a pain. Please add predefined deployment packages to the Intune console that just need to be assigned to target users/computers

Today we released support for assigning Office 365 ProPlus apps to devices that run Windows 10. Does that count as “adding predefined deployment packages”? Or is there something we’re missing here? If you think we covered it, I’ll mark it complete.

  11. Windows Server Feature for Intune Distribution Point

I would like to see a function in Windows server that allows to enable a Distribution Point for Microsoft Intune, thus facilitating the deployment of OS and applications.

  12. Device Inventory that populates discovered apps should be user controlled

Discovered Apps remains empty after two days for iOS devices. Help doc says the inventory process that populates this section only runs once every 7 days. This should either be user controllable or run much more often. Thanks

  13. Assign apps to single user/device

Its a step back for us coming from another MDM solution to not be able to assign apps to a single user or Device, and instead having to make alot of uneccesary New AD Groups just to handle this.

  14. Software Center

Add a program similar to Software Center from SCCM to manage updates and software as it more simple and user-friendly, also add a notification in the taskbar when updates are available instead of a triangle over the Intune icon.

    Many Thanks

  15. Add deployment of Office 365 Business apps (Not just ProPlus)

Currently you can use Intune to deploy O365 ProPlus with ease but this does not work for O365 Business. It would be good to see the same functionality for O365 Business as recently the Office 365 Configuration Tool has been discontinued it is now proving very difficult to deploy O365 Business with Intune.

  16. Enable change/Update the URL of this web-link app

If we create a web-link app with URL and then assign, install in devices. We are not able to change the URL of this web-link app unless we create a new web-link app with new URL. But can we enable the change or update web-link app URL feature without creating a new one?

  17. Support for deployment of single .msp file

I would like support in Intune to update installed MSIs with .msp files.

I know that you can use deploy Win32 app now and put the .msp file in the <packagename>.intunewin file, but I would like to have the functionality that the classic Intune portal has. To just deploy a single .msp file as an update.

For example to update Adobe reader now, I have to create a new .intunewin package every time I need to update Adobe Reader. Which creates a lot of extra work.

Auto update of Adobe Reader is not an option, because not all of our…

  18. allow apps to be installed without local admin rights

as an IT Manager, to be able to put approved apps in a portal where users can install them, without having to give them local admin rights, this would save IT personnel alot of time

  19. Prevent apps to be uninstalled

Some mobile apps could be required by the company as mandatory on the device (antivirus for instance). Having a feature that could prevent user to uninstall some application could help on a better user support.

As of the week of April 23, 2018, If an end user uninstalls a required app, Intune automatically reinstalls the app within 24 hours rather than waiting for the 7 day re-evaluation cycle. It’s not exactly preventing the uninstall, but is it close enough that we can call it complete?

  20. inventory the version of IE in software inventory

When running the detected software report, it would be really helpful if we could get an Microsoft Internet Explorer report that shows what version(s) are installed on client machines,
