  1. inventory the version of IE in software inventory

When running the detected software report, it would be really helpful if we could get an Microsoft Internet Explorer report that shows what version(s) are installed on client machines,

  2. Win32 App Packaging - Allow import & export of Intune config

Win32 App Packaging Tool and Intune support is great. Only caveat is that setting Intune up manually through the GUI is very time consuming and prone to human errors. We as a CSP provider also has to upload the same Win32 package to 15++ customers.

I'd love if we could import and export a win32 intune config as JSON (or similar), so that we in future deployments can upload a intunewin package together with a config file.

    Future workflow:
    * First tenant: Upload .intunewin, configure manually and test. Export config when success.
    * All other tenants: Upload
    .intunewin and a…

  3. User notification for new versions of apps and new apps

When a new version of an app is published, the user should get a push notification. For users with the Company Portal app, a numeric badge indicator should show on the Portal app icon so the user knows to check there.

    Includes MAM and MDM.

  4. Windows 10 update installation status directly in Intune from Windows 10 MDM clients

Intune should display installed and missing software updates from Windows 10 MDM clients. Almost every customer wants to know if their Windows 10 devices have installed the necessary updates.

Microsoft has introduced Update Compliance feature to OMS, which does similar thing. However, it requires that customers set up a new OMS tenant (if they already don't have) and it is not fully integrated with Intune.

  5. Custom category list

The delivered categories for mobile application software organization in the portal are not relevant to our business. It would be helpful if we could create our own category names so we don't have to put everything under Other.

  6. Allow shared mailbox in app configuration profile for Outlook

When we create an app configuration profile for Outlook and enable the option for users to add only work or school accounts, they are not allowed to add a shared work mailbox. And when we disable the option they are allowed to add a shared work mailbox but also a personal mailbox (i.e. Gmail). This is clearly not as intended. Make sure that users can add shared work/school mailboxes but not personal mailboxes!

  7. Ability to whitelist an apk to be installed from an Uknown source, while still only allowing specific installations from Google Playstore

It doesn't make sense for our mobile android application to be distributed via the PlayStore for a variety of reasons. However, we cannot allow it to be installed via Microsoft Intune and keep the security policies we would like in place, including allowing the installation of a specific android app from outside the playstore (website) and other specific android applications from inside the playstore using Android Enterprise.

  8. Add Teams and Planner to Office 365 Pro Plus deployment (MDM)

Teams and Planner are becoming quite popular in our organization. Please provide the ability to deploy them with the Office 365 Pro Plus deployment policy.

  9. Deploy/assign an app to a single device/user in Intune

At the moment, when you create a new App in Intune, it is only possible to deploy it to all Users/Devices or selected GROUPS.
It would be great if you could install/uninstall the app for a single User/Device.

  10. Ordered Win32 app dependencies

While dependencies for Win32 apps have been added in 1904, there is no way of defining the installation order within a certain dependency level.
So if I need to install several dependencies in a defined order there is still no acceptable way to do so.
    Think of components like
    - a prerequisites package
    - a main install package
    - a patch package
    - a configuration package

I might use the configuration package as the root package here and add the others as dependencies in a defined order.
That would allow differnt configurations to be deployed using the same binaries and…

  11. Application installation order during enrollment

It would be great if there would be a possibility to decide the app install order during the enrolment or at least to define dependencies between applications. If we need .NET or adobe as a prerequisite for another app, currently there is no way, neither during enrillment nor after, to define this dependency and have the software installed in the right order.
I know that Task sequence is a tabu word in Intune as you don't want to replicate the complexity of SCCM, but a light version of the TS for being able to execute some simple actions like "Install…

  12. Auto-populate app icon/logo when adding line-of-business apps

When adding line-of-business (LOB) apps, the app icon/logo is not automatically populated. It would be good to be able to retrieve the app icon from the app file instead of having to manually upload the icon.

  13. Add a policy to prevent device enrollment in Intune Company Portal app

When you are doing mobile application management without enrollment (MAMWE) you don't want users to enroll their device in intune (you just want them to register when prompted). This strategy is described at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/active-directory-conditional-access-mam.

The company portal app (CPA) has to be installed to support MAMWE. For MAMWE, users don't ever need to log into CPA, but they are able to log into it. When they log into it they are prompted to enroll their device. As previously stated, when you are doing MAMWE only, you don't want your users to enroll their device. There is apparently no way…

  14. Give us the ability to view or download powrshell scripts for the Intune Management extension

Give us the ability to view or download PowerShell scripts for the Intune Management extension the able to view and/or edit the script faster. Today it's hard to see what the script does and you have to upload a new script if you want to be 100 % sure what it does. Also have versioning on the script would be great!

  15. Ability to search apps from the store instead of pasteing URL

Like some other MDM's it would be helpful if admin could just search the app from the app store (inside intune) and select it. App metadata should be inserted automatically too.

  16. Enable SAMAccountName as a token in the Client App configuration within Intune. Device configuration has access already to SAMAccountName,

We need SAMAccountName to be an available token variable in the Intune App configuration policy. Currently this isn't available.

  17. View Mobile apps assigned to a group

It would be nice to be able to see which mobile apps have been assigned to a group. We are currently using the SCCM/Intune hybrid and moving to the Intune Azure web portal. Being able to see what apps are deployed to a collection is the only feature I'll miss from the hybrid MDM model. Once this feature comes to Intune Azure I won't miss it at all!! :)

  18. [Win32] About an error that cannot be distributed to devices when multi-byte characters are included

    Detail:
A distribution error occurred when trying to distribute the batch file specified as install app on Win32

    Batch file name:copy.bat
    App-Package:IntuneWinAppUtil.exe -c c:\app -s copy.bat -o c:\intunewin
    Batch file sample:

    ----------
    echo off
    copy ***.bat "C:\Users\マイクロソフト\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup" /Y
    ----------

As a result of isolation, like the sample above, we found out that an error occurs if the copy command’s folder name contains multi-byte characters.
We hope you to fix this problem and allow using multi-byte characters in Win32 features.

  19. Prevent first Sync of Mailbox without Wifi

    Hello,
if a user set up a new device and is only connected to a metered network it is not very funny when he sync his 50 GB Mailbox to the new device. So it would be awesome if you could configure Outlook that it would only sync the last two weeks or 500 MB in a cellular and when the user is connected via wifi outlook sync the rest.

    Best Regards

  20. Clearing PIN for apps Cache

As it stands, its possible to have two different PINs, one for apps and one for the device.

However, after speaking with Intune support, it seems that there is no way to re-set the app specific PIN since this PIN is cached on the device which cannot be managed in Intune.

Either you have to re-set the whole device, clear all existing authentications on the phone, this includes touch-id and device PIN, or use the "forgotten PIN" method, which takes several steps to complete.

    1. Resetting the device.
Problematic. If all you need to reset is the PIN.

    2.Resetting all PINs…
