  1. Users should be able to use only one app for all Outlook attachments (Intune)

Users should be able to use only one app which can open all the Outlook attachments like .doc, .pdf, .xls, .ppt etc once their device is Intune enrolled.

Downloading separate app for each different file formats make little sense.

  2. Ability to override the default Start layout and prevent the user from changing it.

Add Windows 10 Pro to the list of supported systems which are currently only Windows 10 Enterprise and Education.

Ability to override the default Start layout and prevent the user from changing it. If both user and device policies are set, the user policy will be used. Apps pinned to the taskbar can also be changed with this policy.

  3. Standardise device cache for Outlook mobile app

Currently Outlook generates a level of cache across all mobile devices. This cache varies from user-to-user, so one user can have over 1 month of cached emails and another can have 1 weeks worth. There is seemingly no logic to it.

In order to manage the potential of data leakage, the app protection policies should contain a configurable item that will standardise the size of the Outlook cache on any device, for example to 1 day / 1 week / 1 month.

  5. Allow Checking if MDM is enabled before logging in

It would be nice if there was a method in the InTune SDK which allows apps to check if it is being managed before logging in. This way I could release a single app which works with Intune, but if not on an InTune Managed device it works and ignores any intune calls.

  6. Keep files to be WIP protected even if used silent mode

    Hello,

Please allow to keep files to be WIP protected even if used silent mode in "WIP Required" configuration.

We don't want to bother users with messages,
We don't want users to block their actions,
We only want that all files, saved from tenant location or created by company managed apps are WIP protected, whatever they are moved, to USB/Network, if to USB then + we could add Azure RMS.

  9. Select All checkbox in Targeted Apps | MAM

Currently, when I check the "Targeted Apps" in an existing MAM policy, I thought I had manually ticket all checkboxes, but it would appear Microsoft has recently added a new app. There should be an option to select all, that way automatically targeting any new app that get's added to the list without the Intune Admin knowing. Chances are, users might find the app, before the Intune Admin does.

  10. Please support V3 Android app signing

Microsoft has no plans to support Android V2 and V3 app signing right now within the app wrapping tool.

This is high priority for our clients who use Intune.

  11. Adaptive management for Intune

We would like to see Intune Company Portal allow for MAM as a default and give users an "opt-in" option for MDM - specifically. The current model, after signing into compnay portal, prompts a user for MDM enrollment and it appears as thought it's required. This is a poor user experience in the event the user is just attempting to download/install an application in a MAM-WE scenario that is hosted in Azure/Intune and made available via the Company Portal.

  13. Block access and Wipe data for rooted device

Would it be possible to request a function/option for “Wipe AND Block” to MS Intune in next update. Since, Block DO NOT remove already synced data on device it will be security concern.

Block access – For (e.x), if the setting of Block is enabled for Outlook, then if the device is jailbroken, the user won’t be able to access Outlook for corporate mails, but still he would be able to access Outlook for personal tasks

and also ause Outlook from a different device to access Corp data

Wipe data – For (e.x), if the setting of Wipe is enabled…

  14. Provide status of WIP deployment for enrolled device

Currently when deploying an app protection policy there is no feedback in the portal on whether the policy was applied or if there was an error. Like other configuration policies we should be able to see the status - success or failed with the failure code etc.

  15. MAM Without Enrollment - Policy to apply as soon as user is authenticated on Outlook, currently allows for bypass

So a user enters their credentials and their mailbox is pulled down onto the device. Currently it takes nearly 5 - 8 hours for the policy to then apply to the Outlook app on the users device so there is a period of risk where the device has no policy is applied. Further to this, this can be used to bypass the policy, as the user can just remove the account which removes the policy and then simply add the account again which gives them another 5 - 8 hours of uncontrolled access.

  16. Custom Conditional Launch message

We'd like to have the ability to customize the conditional launch message - for instance, if we have a minimum version requirement or OS version, the option to direct users to a link that shows how to update their device/apps would be helpful

  18. data should not be saved automatically to iCloud

Outlook for iOS allows you to save contacts to the local iOS contacts so we are able to see users information for incoming calls. The data should not be saved automatically to iCloud - this puts the corporate data outside of DLP and is a security issue.
