  1. Update Android OS remotely on a fleet of device (Android Enterprise)

Update Android OS remotely on a fleet of device with Android Enterprise enrollment profile.
For now it's only possible to update iOS devices remotely.

  2. Allow adding systems apps to the Managed Home Screen

It would be great to be able to display system apps, like the built in camera app, in the managed home screen. I know you can get third party apps from the managed google play store to do the same thing as most of the system apps, but they do not work the same and are not designed for that specific device.

If an app is on a device you should be able to display it in the managed home screen.

  3. Hide notification content on lock screen for Android

Can we have the option to hide the content of notifications on the lock screen for Android devices and show them after unlocking the device?
    Currently there are two options;
App protection policy -> Data protection -> Org data notifications -> Block org Data and Device configuration policy -> device restriction settings -> work profile settings -> Work profile notifications while device locked.

Both options do not show the content of the notification when the device is unlocked. They block the content of the work profile notifications regardless of the device lock state.

  4. Remove DEM-account restriction of max 10 Device Owner (Fully managed) enrollments

Intune-documentation says a Device Enrollment Manager has a restriction of 10 Work-profile enrollments, but apparently the same limit applies for Device Owner (Fully managed) -enrollments.
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/enrollment/device-enrollment-manager-enroll

Sometimes you can enroll more than 10 Device Owner -devices, but it's not supported (according to Microsoft support) and the limit can be reached anytime.

This makes DEM-accounts very ineffective for Android mass enrollment (since Device Admin -deprecation).

  5. Intune compatibility needed for Vivo, Techno, Infinix and Oppo devices

Company Intune Portal is not supported on multiple android devices including Vivo, Infinix and Oppo devices.
We cannot deploy the Intune company portal and associated MAM/MDM policies on these devices as more and more end users are using these personal devices.

Please allow the ability to schedule disabling of work profile at given times e.g. weekday evenings and weekends, to save battery life and not to be disturbed out of office hours.

  7. WiFi Settings

Is it possible to have the Pre-shared key and Proxy settings for Android devices in the profiles section!

The options are there for iOS Why are those options missing for Android devices?

There seems to be a massive gap missing for android how can this be?

  8. Enrol device via 4G / Mobile data instead of WiFi

When enrolling an Android Enterprise managed device via a QR code, you must be connected to WiFi to complete the enrolment.

Some users in certain locations for the business may not be connected to a WiFi network and only via cellular data / 4G / 5G / mobile data. It would be beneficial to allow the option for a user to complete the enrolment via mobile data instead of WiFi.

  9. allow admins access to Android Company Portal logs

Functionality providing the ability to look into the Company Portal logs for Android has been removed. Please add it again so we are able to troubleshoot our own issues rather than having the logs sent directly to Microsoft support and having no visibility of them

  10. Support Categories in Managed Google Play Store

The Basic layout of the managed Google Play Store does not scale well when lots of apps are added.

Request is to add support for Categories to the Managed Play Store apps to allow grouping in the Store UI

"The managed Play Store displays apps in a basic layout by default, but you can use the Google Play EMM API to let IT admins customize the layout of the store. For example, you can group apps by categories..."

  11. Citrix SSO VPN and App-VPN support for Android Enterprise devices.

Intune have support for Citrix SSO Vpn and App-vpn with NAC for Android devices but not for Android Enterprise devices.
Really big problem for us because we use this for IOS and Android with KNOX to day but we are moving from Android to Android Enterprise because we want to use Android Enterprise Recommended devices.

  14. Azure Intune - Add view of Google/Gmail account used to setup Android phone

Since the passcode reset function is no longer available on Android 7.0 and later phones users will require their phone factory reset in case of forgotten passcode/pin. Many users forget their Goggle/GMail account that was used when activating Android phone.

Azure Intune console should display Google/Gmail account used to setup Android phone.

  15. Android enterprise work-managed mode using KME

We (and I am sure many others) will benefit greatly from enrolling our corporate owned devices with android enterprise via KME. Additionally with DO (Device owner) mode.

  16. Please update Intune company Portal compatible with OPPO device to enroll as Android Enterprise

Device enrollment will stuck in progress when trying to enroll OPPO device.
It stuks "setting up your work pofile" on Intune Company portal, and work profile Intune company portal won't shows up.

from OPPO support side answer is this below.

Due to the Intune company portal is not compatible with OPPO device currently, so if Intune company Portal will be updated as compatible with OPPO device, issue will be solved.

    Thank you.

  17. Android 10: Enroll AE work profile using Zero Touch

New feature in Android 10 and newer is to enroll a device using zero touch into work profile mode (Android Enterprise).

    https://developer.android.com/work/versions/android-10.0#improved_provisioning_tools_for_work_profiles

Business impact: save thousands of hours a year by avoiding explanation how and why an Google account has to be created by each employee to setup a device for work profile mode.

  18. activesync profile policy should support more than Samsung devices

the activesync profile policy support only Samsung devices, we can't deploy email profiles for other type of android devices. And from what I understand when we using third-party app for mail the email profiles from the intune won't apply.

  20. Allow notifications to Samsung Gear watches

None of the apps contained in the Android for Work profile show as able to mirror notifications in the Samsung Gear app. When using AirWatch and Boxer previously, it was possible to allow notifications out of the AfW profile, but this is not possible under Intune and Outlook. Please allow this functionality.
