  1. Decrease the interval for detecting new updates and applications.

Currently, the detection frequency for new apps and updates has a minimum value of 8 hours. This is very troublesome when enrolling PCs using group policy for the PC agent, as there is no real telling when the device will be fully updated and ready to use. The value ought to be configurable down to an "instantly" setting or at least to ½ hr.

  2. Dashboard Update Intervals

One major negative aspect of the well designed dasboard is the time it takes, until changes become visable.
Warnings and critical massages stay a very long time, which is confusing with hundrets of clients involved.

  3. Intune Agent: Request for a Progress bar or Status

We're going to migrate 300 Clients to AAD and with Intune Client installed. All software will be installed through Intune.

We ask you kindly to add a Progress bar or Status to the Intune Agent on "Updates" > "Try again" or somewhere else, so the User is able to see whether the agent is doing something or not.

The current situation is, that employees are clicking "try again" over and over again and nothing seems to happen but in background intune is downloading, etc. Would be awesome if you could add this little thing as soon as possible.

    Thanks

  4. Ensure that Intune Client does not randomly disappear during installations

Currently, the Intune PC Client randomly disappears on our Windows 10 UI during installations leaving users guessing whether the client was ever installed in the first place or was suddenly removed. Only by checking Details in the Task Manager, the process clientui.exe (also not very telling) can be identified to still be running.

Please make sure that this client becomes more transparent, not just in terms of download progress, but also actual runtime.

  5. Ability for service admin to move device from 'ungrouped' devices to his/her assigned group

Today only a Global admin cano mvoe devices from 'ungrouped devices' to 'specific group'. But when a new devices gets enrolled, a group specific admin (service admin) cannot move this device to his/her own group.Service admin should be able to do it. Otherwise, if we have scenario of remote offices in global countries, we cannot have a Global admin in each country, but we want to have Service admin who should own that country group. He should be able to manage the membership & devices of their own group. If we give Global admin role for various country offices, they…

  6. The "Detected Computer Software" list should include the GUID of the app to make it easier to uninstall if necessary

The "Detected Computer Software" list should include the GUID of the installed program to make it easier to uninstall unwanted, unneeded, or unsecure apps.

  8. Update the offline scanner

Your offline windows defender does not update on most NIC drivers and WiFi, and you cannot just download a update file to upload to it, you have to re-create the scanner each time you want to use it. I would like a way of updating the virus definitions with a patch rather than re-creating each time.

  9. Remote Wipe Windows 10 PC's with Intune Client installed

Currently if you install the Intune Client on a Windows 10 PC (other OS's as well perhaps, I haven't checked), you lose the ability to "Remote Wipe". The only option is to Retire the device.

Intune Client should give full management to include Remote Wipe. What happens if one of my mobile users loses their device? I have no way of remotely wiping this. I know this can be achieved if they are "enrolled" rather than client, but why not same features?

  10. Endpoint Protection Alerts

It would be nice to have the critical alerts for endpoint protection send an email to the effected user when a issue is detected.

  11. Cannot completely Uninstall Intune Client

I need a reliable process to uninstall the Intune PC Client. I am evaluating the product and need to test the enrollment process. Not having an unlimited supply of test devices, I must uninstall the Intune PC Client software completely. I have found a couple scripts that supposedly work, however, when I re-enroll the client by installing the Intune PC Client software, it "magically" knows my credentials from the previous enrollment and never prompts me for them. As a result, I am not truly able to test the enrollment process.

  12. The Restart Countdown timer reports an incorrect time

I can request a restart of a managed computer device from the Intune Console. The user is prompted that a restart has been requested and a countdown time is displayed. Before this week, the countdown timer would display that the restart would occur automatically in 12:15:00 and start counting down. The actual restart would occur in 15 minutes. I reported this to support and was told it was a known issue to be fixed.

This week I tested again and the countdown timer started at 2:00:00 and began counting down (2 hours). I decided to wait to see how long…

  13. Approving updates should be instant, should not take 24 hours

declining updates reflect right away with a line across each declined updates so why should it take up to 24 hours before approved updates reflect on the console? I sometimes receive email in the morning for updates that I already know I've approved the day before (but not actually 24 hours since). This is just an annoyance so please come up with a better solution. Thank you kindly.

  14. if a different antivirus is detected on a corporate device, give the option to disable or remove it.

I often have new PC's that arrive with demo versions of software. I cant guarantee that they are removed by the admins. Intune should have the option to remove alternate AV packages or at least disable them. This becomes an even bigger problem when the trials expire and the PC's are no longer protected.

  15. The ability to identify machines on domain that do not have Intune agent installed.

We do not want to use a group policy to ensure the PC has agent installed. As it stands, have to do an inventory comparison to all computers in Intune to determine if a PC is on domain without the agent.

  16. Stop all automatic updates and always prompt user for any update (including mandatory & Endpoint virus & spyware definitions updates)

We have set up Intune not to automatically install any updates to enrolled devices (running Windows 7) because the devices are installed with a System Restoration software. Although we have set up Intune to prompt the user for installation of the updates, virus and spyware definitions are updated automatically. We need a way to stop automatic installation of ALL updates (including mandatory and Virus and spyware definitions updates) because in combination with the System Restoration software they cause serious network congestion and failures. Every day all updates installed automatically are being installed again in addition to the new ones.

  17. make the UI clearer about the state of the device while the agent is not reporting in immediately after install

After removing Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 the Intune Agent and Microsoft Endpoint client were installed. The Intunes portal however is not detecting the Microsoft Endpoint client and displays "Another endpoint application running," please see attached.

I have attempting reinstalling Intunes and Microsoft Endpoint and have run the Kaspersky removal tool "kavremover" however this did not resolve the issue.

I then logged a ticket with the Intune support team and was told that the issue may be a bug and that I would need to post my comments on your feedback portal.

Please advise if you have run into this issue…

  18. Deploy patches to test group of workstations

Within Intune we need to ability to deploy Microsoft patches to a group of TEST workstations before they are applied to all PRODUCTON workstations.
At the moment once you apply patches to one group, there is no simple way to apply those same patches to another group (other than searching for each KB number and manually re-applying each individual patch).

  19. Noncompliant Apps Reports feature in an environment of PC management

Although there is no update function of PC management by the agent , as in the case of the mobile device management , reporting functions of the non-compliant app I want to implement . Because it can issue a warning for the installation of apps that contrary to company policy , we believe that very convenient .

  20. Intune Agent with support for Security Compliance baseline check

Azure Security Center allows you with the agent aswell as SCOM to enable a Security Compliance baseline check created by the SCM. I wish this feature was also enabled for domain joined devices with the intune agent installed.

Thus allowing us to make adjustment to the baseline, and verify its compliance.
