  1. About the time when the problem that the attached encrypted zip of Outlook for Android cannot be decompressed can be dealt with

From around April 2021, the number of inquiries from our customers has increased rapidly. The users are unable to decompress the attached encrypted Zip file in Outlook on Android devices. Previously, if the attached Zip is clicked, it leads to a third-party unzip app using which the files can be viewed or shared.
But now that function is not working. The files could not be shared or saved it to OneDrive too.
This issue had been reported to Microsoft Support. For the customers who have contacted Microsoft directly, the technical team of Microsoft had responded that they would consider a…

  3. Allow LOB app on Android Enterprise without PlayStore

    Hi Team,

We've an inhouse developed healtcare app which is not published to the Google Playstore, but directly distributed to the IT department of our clients. (Healtcare organisations with elderly homes). Most of our clients use Samsung Knox as their MDM / EMM solution to distibute and update the app. All without problems (our apk is added to their private app store, and distibuted)
A few of them is starting / has started to use Intune as their MDM/ EMM solution. Now we're facing the problem that only the first one of our clients is able to upload and distribute…

  4. Support for Android WIFI profile to disable Mac address randomization

For IOS, Intune profile has the function to disable the MAC address randomization, while we do not have such setting available for Android platform.

It is important for us to have this supported. Will Intune plan to develop this function for Android

  5. Enable Work Profile widgets for “Fully Managed, Dedicated, and Corporate-Owned Work Profile” enrolled

Work profile widgets can be enabled via device policy for enrolment “Personal devices with work profile", but not "Fully managed, dedicated and Corporate-Owned" enrolment.

Please enable feature parity, so that work profile widgets can be added for enrolment “Fully Managed, Dedicated, and Corporate-Owned Work Profile”

  6. Allow Microsoft Office to open attachments for Outlook App

Microsoft Office is supposed to be a package of other Microsoft applications but does not have all the functionality of those individual applications. Android devices can not use Microsoft Office to open attachments like they can with Microsoft Word from Outlook. The Intune policies do not allow this or the Microsoft Office app does not.

Users need to install multiple apps to utilize all the functionalities and providing an option to require additional apps would simplify and improve the user experience.

  8. Possibility to allow permission: Display over other apps

It would be lovely with a App configuration permission option that can allow system/critial settings per app, more specifilly "Display over other apps".
Problably needs some working with Android development team to allow MDM vendors to be able to set this setting, but this is an headache for many.
For example Microsoft Home Screen Launcher needs this permission to work and function

  9. Android corporate owned personal profile

We are currently using Fully Managed devices and these work well but are restrictive in the apps users can install to ones we have deployed. Corporate owned work profile resolves this issue but then we get away from having Microsoft Launcher give a unified experience amongst other things.

Will there be an option of a corporate owned personal profile device where the personal profile is in the bubble rather than work. This way we could set MS launcher as default etc and the user can install other non corporate apps in their personal bubble.

  10. Rename Android QR enrolled devices automatically (naming template)

Allow to have a naming template per QR enrollment profile for Android in order to automatically rename the devices.
This will make it much easier to find and manage the device and it would be super if that name could be shown in for example the Intune app.

Scenario: User calls in and ask for assistance. Support ask user for device name in the "intune app". Support can easily search up the device and check status etc.

  11. Enable use of Samsung Smart Switch with Android Enterprise fully managed

Smart switch has now in the latest verions been blocket by "system" if it is enrolled with Android Enterprise Fully managed. This makes it even harder to switch phones og do a factory reset. Since backup sync is disabled, please at least let smart switch work!

  12. Support more apps for Android dedicated device with AAD share mode single sign on behavior

On Android dedicated shared device, if multiple users have signed onto the device before, then the current logged user will be able to access other users account on Outlook/OneDrive. This has caused security and privacy risks.
Per official document, "To receive single sign-in and single sign-out while in Azure AD shared device mode, each app must participate. Today, Microsoft applications that participate with Azure AD shared device mode include Teams and Managed Home Screen."
    https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/intune-customer-success/enroll-android-enterprise-dedicated-devices-into-azure-ad-shared/ba-p/1820093
Please add more MS apps like Outlook/OneDrive to support single sign on for Android dedicated shared mode device.

  15. Add ScopeTag to section Corporate Device Identifier

    Working @Sodexo,

Section : Enroll Devices / Corporate Device Identifier

Would be nice to add a ScopeTag field in :
    - GUI
    - Excel File
    - Webservices

it would be of a great value for "local admin" to quickly see devices belonging to there scope.
We are in more than 80 country with more than 250 local admins entity which leverage different sets of devices.
View on Default scope tag isn't an option (too many devices would popup from around the world)
Relying on Dynamic group isn't an option for mobile since it take too much time, and doesn't allow…

  16. WAV file player for Outlook on Android

Microsoft recommends AIP (Azure Information Protection) for app protected files in Outlook. But it appears there is an issue with playing WAV files and has been broken for some time. The previous workaround was to use the "Play Music" app, but Google has recently retired the app. So without AIP or Play Music, there is currently no supported WAV file player for Android devices managed by Intune. The file format is very common for listening to voicemails. A Microsoft agent mentioned the previous request was complete, but as you can see in the comments it absolutely hasn't (https://microsoftintune.uservoice.com/forums/291681-ideas/suggestions/12403098-support-playing-wav-files-in-outlook).…

  18. Support forced Android app updates

Our Android tablets are taking weeks to update an app we have on the Google Play Store. According to Google EMMs can provide a mechanism to force an immediate app update using "minimum version code" however I do not see this option anywhere in Intune

  19. Add option to set Cloud to Government in Company Portal Settings on Android

iOS Company Portal app has setting to choose Public or Government cloud. Android Company does not have this option and is useful for government customers. Some third-party websites, like Apple Deployment Manager have issues redirecting without setting this in Company Portal Settings.

  20. block intune enrollment by device model

As of today you can only block enrollment by manufacturer. It would be a game changer if you could block by model type. Some customers have an approved hardware list and only approved to have certain devices and hesitant with switching from BB to intune because of it.
