  1. Support Edge Chromium in Kiosk Mode

Currently the only supported browsers supported for Kiosk scenarios are Legacy Edge and Kiosk Browser.
it would make a lot of sense and can expand many possibilities to allow Edge Chromium as a supported browser for Kiosk, especially when it's going to be integrated in the OS

  2. allow pop-ups in Edge from a specific URL intune

allow pop-ups in Edge from a specific URL in Intune. I know that it is something we need to check with Edge browser team but it will be really great to have this within Intune. Please suggest Edge team to include this feature so we admins can use this feature

  3. Maintain Managed Browser - Edge users can bypass Azure settings

We are told that Managed Browser is being phased out in favor of Edge.

We are trying to manage internet and URL access - which Managed Browser readily allowed, but Edge does not. On Edge, users can pivot to a "New inPrivate tab" to bypass Azure settings limiting URL access.

Edge does NOT replicate Managed Browser functionality in this regard.

Managed Browser needs ongoing support, but with enhancements. We cannot, for example, enable Yammer as one of the permitted URLs.

  4. Device Based IOS Kiosk Mode with Homepage/Bookmark control

Enable IOS Device Based Kiosk Mode to control homepage/bookmarks/access with the managed browser and/or edge browser without having to have a "user" logged in.

  5. Let Web app link be opened in Microsoft Edge

Enforce web app links (web clips) that are deployed via Intune (with the option, "Require a managed browser to open this link"), to be opened with the Edge iOS mobile browser; currently only works with the Intune Managed Browser which has limited web-view capability.

  6. Allow intune to remove address bar from edge kiosk

Allow intune to remove address bar from Edge Kiosk Mode. Or make a way to whitelist/blacklist websites.

  7. Allow us to apply App Configuration for Managed Browser/Edge to userless Device Groups

I am leveraging Intune to govern a new fleet of Android warehouse mobiles. These should be Kiosk devices, limited to only two web URLs installed as Web Apps. I should blacklist all other URLs, and explicitly Allow the URLs for our two web apps.

I am struggling. These are Android Enterprise Multi-App Kiosk devices. I created the App Configuration policy matching my needs for Edge, and have assigned that policy to my Device Group. Unfortunately, nothing happens and I fear it is because these policies only apply to Users. This has forced me to rethink how I am going to…

  8. More App configuration policys for Edge browser to allow cookies.

Currently, the Edge browser signs out of any websites signed in. Example if i sign in to a website or in my situation conference calling system, every time I close the edge app, tab or after a small period of time the applications require signing in again because the app doesn't save the user cookies. This is causing a real delay in people joining conference calls, we click links in our email to open a web page that dials the user into a conference call but as cookies are not saved the user has to sign in every time and…

  9. Please add this feature "ephemeral-tab" (as seen in chrome flags) to MS Edge

Please add this feature "ephemeral-tab" (as seen in chrome flags) to MS Edge.
That means a User can click on a link and peek into the tab without leaving the current tab.

  10. Regex for Allowed websites in Kiosk browser settings

Being able to use regex in the uploaded csv file for Allowed websites, would significantly simplify the file creation and shorten the file.

  11. Allow ITs ability to change the Prompt/Notification message in managed browser

Is it possible to allow the ITs the ability to change the prompt/notification message in Managed Browser.

For example, in the attached screenshot, the Learn Mode button should be removed (as its showing how to get it to enable at Intune Level documentation which users not necessary to know this)

The ability for ITs to change the prompt/notification content would be very helpful and easy for ITs to manage these apps and end user's experience

  12. Enterprise State Roaming (ESR) in Edge for iOS/Android

Please implement ESR in Edge on iOS/Android. Use case: Sync bookmarks between Edge on Windows 10 and iOS/Android.

Using Edge on iOS/Android, I want to be able to see and use Favorites that I created on my corporate Win 10 Edge instance. And vice versa.

  13. Support SharePoint app internal browser

The internal browser in the SharePoint app is not seen as Managed by InTune. Therefore it is not possible to integrate or link to a Microsoft Forms page from a SharePoint page opened in the app.
On an iOS device you're told to use a supported browser and on an Android device you're told to enroll your device.

  14. Prevent copy-paste between managed domains and unmanaged domains

Intune supports restrictions to prevent sharing/pasting of information from managed apps into unmanaged apps on the same device.

We need something similar for Managed Browsers to prevent that sensitive information is copied from a company webapp into an unamanged site (e.g. pastebin, disucssions forums, webmail, etc).

This could be implemented by Managed Browser to be managed domains aware and not allow copy-pastes from:
    - content from other managed apps into fields on unmanaged domains in manged browser
    - content from managed domains in managed browser into fields on unmanaged domains in managed browser

  15. the ability to configure edge to Only use a single identity

Identity lockdown – the ability to configure edge to Only use a single identity. In some cases multi identity Edge can be an asset but there are more than a few use cases where (finance, retail, etc…) where it would be benefical to be able to configure Edge to only use a single, managed identity. This will a) ensure that only the proper work identity us used b) ease confusion with multi identity management, simplifying support.

This was split out of an item that had two requests

  16. Use Azure or App Proxy with Managed Browser to Set Proxy Address or Delivery .pac

This is a feature we've already requested through the Managed Browser PG - however was asked to have it documented here as well. Request is to allow organizations to set proxy address (or deliver .pac if possible) for Managed Browser either though MAM controls or using Azure App Proxy. This is distinct from whitelisting specific sites as we want to proxy all traffic out of Managed Browser.

  17. Microsoft edge on android and IOS as managed browser

Please change Microsoft Managed Browser with Microsoft Edge for Android and IOS as managed browser - so that we can Manage Internet access using managed browser policies with Microsoft Intune with a browser that are known for the users as it is default in Windows 10

As of the week of June 4, 2018, the Microsoft Edge browser for mobile devices (iOS and Android) supports Microsoft Intune app protection policies. Users of iOS and Android devices who sign-in with their corporate Azure AD accounts in the Edge application will be protected by Intune. On iOS devices, the Require managed browser for web content policy will allow users to open links in Edge when it is managed.

I think what you’re asking for is making Edge replace the managed browser, so I won’t call this complete, but wanted you to know that we added this Edge-related feature.

  18. ability to set and load a home page

    Hi There,

My Org is currentling POC'ing Intune MAM. We'd like to see the followign features ported from Intune Managed Browser (IMB) to Edge when using Edge as a managed browser

    1) The Ability to set & load a home page - Managing the end user expoerience is critically important. Currently we can set a home page shortcur, which appears allong with other shortcuts. The additional shortcuts listed are not really "work frienddly" (E.G. netflix, facebook, amazon,etc...) and we (as the managing entity) should be able to remove

admin note: Having 2 requests in one item is difficult for us…

  19. iOS Open in new tab if "_blank" in ManagedBrowser

ManagedBroswer dont open new tabs even if _blank in html for iOS. This should be a feature that works out of the box.
This feature works in all other browsers.
ManagedBrowser for Android have this feature already.

  20. Webcam/Camera support from Intune Managed Browser

Multiple web apps become available for the Online Workspace that needs access to webcam/camera hardware devices from the Intune Managed Browser.

For example to upload a photo to a document management system and using videoconferencing.

A simple Online test (for example: https://webcammictest.com) says the Intune Managed Browser is not supported for webcam/camera devices.

Is it possible to add webcam/camera support to the Intune Managed Browser?
