  1. Manage supported devices for users only in these groups as Android for Work

The "Manage supported devices for users only in these groups as Android for Work" option is currently broken. This is documented here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/mdm/deploy-use/enroll-hybrid-android

Please fix this so that we can have both Android and Android for work users enrolled.

      • Support Android zero-touch enrollment

Is it possible to support Android zero-touch enrollment?
This would solve a lot of android corporate owned devices.

        • Improve Android Hardware Inventory to include "Android Security Patch Level" in SCCM / Intune Hybrid

Current "Intune Company Portal" do not report "Android Security Patch Level" as part of the Android Hardware Inventory to SCCM in a Hybrid environment.

This is important as our security policy requires that the device must be up-to-date on Android Security Patch inorder to be "In Compliance"

From an administrative point of view it should be possible to have an overview of your Android devices to verify whom devices that has been upgraded with the latest security updates from Android.

Security Vulnerabilities are rapidly increasing for mobile devices, e.g. the previous KRACK Vulnerability. Hence it would great to…

          • Utilising Android for work whilst applying the restrictions on the personal side of the device for corporatly enrolled devices.

Utilising Android for work whilst applying the restrictions on the personal side of the device for corporately enrolled devices.
We need the option to remove non corporate apps and access to the playstore on a corporate device utilising android for work. Application delivery is much slicker in AFW compared to Android.

            • Need support for managed native Android email profiles

Outlook is great but the native Android email profiles allow great contact integration. Would love to offer up the option and support selective wipe for Android.

                • Restrict company account only to work with Android for Work Apps

Currently it is possible to login with company account in android for work apps and private apps. Therefore it is possible to login into Word (Android for work) and Word private. In case of company policies and data security it would be better to have a policy for restriction. Only to allow android for work apps to use company account ( enrollment account/work profile).

                  • Support AfW Web Clips

Android for Work Web Clips are fundamental to using a mobile device for work. You really need to have this functionality included in your product.

                    Thanks,

                        • bulk enrollment (android)

At the moment we (IT) have to setup android devices manually and then get the user to enrol to intune.

This is proven difficult to managed and the enrolment rate is only %75.

is there a better way to pre enrol or bulk enrol devices ?

Hi, Hernando, I can give you a little information here but if you want to have a conversation with other admins doing this, you can go here
                            https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=microsoftintuneprod

We have Device Enrollment Manager accounts that you can use to enroll large numbers of devices in corp-owned/userless scenarios. That works for all platforms.

For Android, there’s no notion of any of these things that are traditionally lumped under “bulk enrollment”:

                            • “pre-enrollment” – Admin can enroll a devices, and then hand it to a user who then associates a device to them
                            • “bulk enrollment” – it’s easy and quick for admin to enroll a mass amount of devices

With Windows 10 you have the workflow where they go through the setup experience and have the option to say it’s a corp device and then do a cloud domain join, which can automatically enroll the device.

                            So we’d need more detail…

                          • Outlook for Android Contact integration with Android for Work

                            we use Android for Work,

We want our users to use Outlook on their android phones instead of let's say Gmail.

I would like an option for the outlook for android app to be able to sync it's contacts into the "contacts for work" app so that it will integrate with the dialer on the phone as well as integrate the contacts for searching and caller ID.

                                  • Compliance policy to block side loading does not work - Android

The compliance policy setting for Android: Require that devices prevent installation of apps from unknown sources (Android 4.0+) does not work.

We are still able to install an apk from an untrusted source. We used this apk as our test: http://www.apkmirror.com/wp-content/themes/APKMirror/download.php?id=165992

We have a ticket open with support on this issue: 117020691981741

This needs to be fixed ASAP as this was the only reason we are allowing Android devices in our environment.

                                    • Android for Work Device Owner mode

Is it possible to get Intune to allow Android for Work to be setup in Device Owner Mode? Possibly with the App and NFC "bump" to setup the config.

This possibly one of the requirement from within the NCSC guidance (https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/guidance/eud-security-guidance-android-6)

                                      • Broad Android support for policies

In a BYOD world we need to be able to support any device. While this presents challenges all the way through the support process we must have support for policies on most, if not all, android models.

When configuring a new policy, select Android, Configuration, Email Profile and Custom Configuration all require specific Android devices/models. I can't support BYOD if my devices are all configured differently. I can't secure connections to my network if only 3 devices will work with the policy.

                                        • Disable OTA (over-the-air) software updates on Android Knox devices

Disable OTA (over-the-air) software updates on Android Knox devices. This is required as 1 of the line-of-business (LoB) apps we need to deploy will only run on a specific version of Android Knox, should the device be allowed to update then the LoB app will stop working.
