  1. Allow MFA Prompt during AutoPilot VPN

During initial VPN connection for AutoPilot, our organization uses MFA on the VPN. If a user uses SMS for MFA authorization, there is no text box to type in the 6-digit code. This means for each user that we need to leverage AutoPilot for, we have to assist then with changing their MFA prompt settings.

  2. Complete and publish Windows Autopilot Companion Application for White Glove on AppStore and Google Play

Microsoft needs to "productize" the Windows Autopilot Companion application Michael Niehaus created. When technicians see the QR code, they need to be able to use an official Microsoft Application to assign the user or rename the machine with Android or Apple phone. At this point, the QR code is shown but can't be used for anything and it feels incomplete.

    Microsoft, please make it happen.

  3. Enrollment failure

We are implementing InTune and could really benefit from an Enrollment Failure alert of some sort. Having to go to a page in the portal and refresh is very time consuming when trying to enroll thousands of devices. An alert, powershell command, email, anything would be helpful to automate the remediation of these failures.

  4. Portal to show status of Autopilot in progress

Because the primary idea of Autopilot is for users to be able to complete an "Autopilot refresh" remotely with none/minimal IT input, it is imperative that IT can monitor the sessions for the status, and to troubleshoot when things go wrong.

Please have a portal for Autopilot sessions that are in progress that will show the current status and any messages, pending prompts, and other useful information so an IT/Help Desk technician can monitor for problems, help a remote user along in the process, and identify issues that may be remediated without having to have the user explain everything they…

  6. Renaming Autopilot device host name with end users office address(3 letter) followed by serial number

Integrating on-premise AD/ azure AD or any internal company sites which have end users repositories - with Ibiza console would suffice the requirement. example- First 3 letter of end users office address would be fetched from On -prem AD and would be stored in any registry key. Serial number would be from wmic bios get serialnumber command. Post obtaining both the data, pipeline both via power-shell and push it from in-tune space.

  7. Intune Connector for Active Directory - Delete button

Add a "Delete" button under the Intune Connector for Active Directory section. We have currently the ability to add an Intune Connector for AD but not the ability to delete the Intune Connector from decommissioned/old servers.

  8. Enroll a new device using a QR code/token/link during OOBE, as per Android/iOS enrollment

Allow enrollment of a newly purchased Win10 device to Autopilot by means of a QR code or token given to the end user, that they can then scan or enter during initial setup, which would then register the device without needing any further Admin interaction - similar to how Android and iOS devices can be registered to InTune during setup.

This would greatly simplify support of ad-hoc purchases and reduce the need for admin involvement. The risk could be mitigated by creating limited time enrollment codes, or requiring user authentication before enrollment occurs.

  9. Add Autopilot removal option in Wipe function

When wiping a device that needs to be completely removed, it would be nice to have an option to remove the device from Autopilot as part of the wipe process.

Since the device is supposed to be removed from Intune during this process, assuming you chose not to retain enrollment, it would be nice to opt out of going back into the Autopilot OOBE sequence.

  10. Require internet access during OOBE for Windows 10 Pro and above

There are options available in OOBE today to allow users to skip establishing a network connection (e.g. Wi-Fi) and then the only option is to create a local computer account. This bypasses the Autopilot provisioning process. For devices shipping with Windows 10 Pro and above, require internet access to keep users from bypassing Autopilot.

  11. Disable Shift-F10 by default on Windows 10 Pro and above

Disable Shift-F10 in Windows 10 Pro and above by default to ensure the device is as secure as possible. Provide a setting in the Windows Autopilot profile to enable Shift-F10 optionally for troubleshooting purposes.

  12. Auto start WHiteGlove povisioning using Unattend.xml

Able to create a zero-touch whiteglove provisioning setup using an Unattend.xml so no engineer interaction is needed during an installation.

  13. Automatically download Language Experience Pack during OOBE

I would love to see automated language experience pack down during the OOBE, firstly to provide the OOBE in localised language and secondly to make this available before the user get to the desktop.

  14. windows update option in autopilot and white glove process

would like to have windows update option in autopilot and white glove process after connected to the internet network step.

the reason is because when the vendor ships the device, sometimes the patch version has some autopilot bugs and requires IT to manual patch it via removable device and restart before proceed with autopilot and white glove process.

  15. Allow the ability to easily reassign AutoPilot profile when a group change is made

I have about a dozen autopilot profiles set up and assigned to specific groups (we have multiple locations and each one has a different naming convention, hence the multiple profiles)

When moving one workstation from a group to another, the autopilot profile either updates 24-48 hours later or not at all. It is seriosuly easier and substantially faster to manually wipe the device, manually delete AzureAD, Intune and AutoPilot record and recapture new hardware hash, reimport, reassign and reprovision.

If I move a device to a new AutoPilot assigned group, and I click SYNC, I expect the devices and profiles…

  16. Injuect Windows Updates and Feature Updates during whiteglove deployment

We want to be able to get all the latest updates and feature updates during whiteglove setup. So a user receiving a freshly delivered computer does not have to wait until 1909 arrives (as even Surfaces by Microsoft sometimes are still delivered with 1903 or worse)...

  17. Allow us to set a custom action during Autopilot OOBE, IE force a full screen video for a Company intro video

If not using the whiteglove during autopilot, Could we have a custom action that could be placed during the oobe and waiting screens, Might be a good slot to play a video for a company introduction for example whilst the user waits?

  18. View assigned user in Autopilot

I would love it if one of your view tabs allowed you to see if/who is assigned to a device in autopilot. Right now you have to select each device one at a time to see if a user is assigned. Being able to see this from the main page would be great.

  19. Enrollment status page

Would be a great improvement ESP Enrollment Status Page selected apps installed as a priority instead of them waiting along with the assigned apps

  20. Autopilot without hardware hash

Logging on with Azure AD credentials to an OOBE Win 10 should detect whether the user is licensed for Intune and Autopilot is configured. If not then the necessary information should be gathered and passed to Intune to initiate Autopilot.

This is what I though Autopilot was going to be when it was first announced. The use of hardware hashes makes it worse than PXE or even a USB stick.
