Intune admin console fails to load in Edge browser - states that it needs Silverlight when newest version installed
Title says it all.
Runnign Windows 10 enterprise latest build, fully updated.
Just downloaded Silverlight and installed it again to ensure it was up to date.
Still getting the error that states you must have Silverlight installed.
Come on guys.....this is silly.
Yup. Edge decided not to support Silverlight. Intune admin console still uses Silverlight. We’re working on a change but nothing to report yet. I’d merge this into “replace Silverlight with HTML version” but you’re already a supporter for that one in the Ideas forum.
If you could pass this on it could be a solution for a lot of Edge browser users. I can't figure out what URL to put in there to get Intune to open in IE11 when navigated to in Edge. Maybe your folks could give it a shot and create a KB out of it?
I'm not familiar with that tool, but there's a big list of URLs used by Intune in this help topic: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn646950.aspx
So as a workaround I'm trying to use the enterprise mode site list tool to automatically use IE11 to open Intune.....I can't seem to figure out what URL to use since it uses ADFS to redirect.
This would be an acceptable solution for the time being to have a way to do this.
