Support playing .wav files in Outlook.
I am deploying MDM less MAM to our Office 365 account. This works well but on Android specifically we are unable to open voicemails that our phone system emails to our users in .wav format.
The user gets a message stating "This action is blocked by your IT group"
Happy to announce this is complete. More info:

How do you open the wav file in the AIP app? I have to company portal app installed, but can't find an AIP app in the play store. When I click on the wav file, I do not get an option to pick an app to open with.

Using the AIP app to open a WAV file worked for me. Without opening in AIP, I received the "...blocked by your IT group" message. I'm advising my users that are having the WAV issue to download and use AIP. We already had it in our Targeted Apps policy so it's protected.

We got the following response from our Microsoft Partner: "After speaking with Microsoft, unfortunately they have informed me that AIP does not actually support the .WAV file extension. They had a misunderstanding on their end with the functionality of the app.
Their official recommendation at this time is to either educate the users on the lack of functionality, or we will need to allow Outlook data to be exported to any app and download a third party audio application."
Is this correct?

The AIP app solution works on Androids, I just tested it. But it would be nice if it just worked natively like it does on iOS

YES! please support these files. We are trying to roll out conditional access and may have to halt on this as our users are going to destroy us on this :(

To solve this, you will need to upload the Azure Information Protection app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.ipviewer) to Intune and deploy it to your users. Due to your data protection policies, your Android users won’t be able to listen to voicemail files they receive in Outlook without the managed AIP app. Once they have the AIP app deployed to their Android devices, when they try to open the voicemail file from the Outlook app they should see an option for “open with AIP Viewer”. From there, they will be able to play the voicemail.
This is frustrating because we have the same scenario and exact same symptoms. Microsoft, we need you to step in here and offer a real solution. In particular we have: a hybrid O365 environment, Intune, both iPhones & Android to support, requests for voicemails to be usable on those mobile devices, but ability only exists on iPhone natively. Please advise... it is mid October 2016 now.
Having the same issue. I'm Intune to deploy the outlook app and other ms office apps with policies set to prevent save as and copy paste. When using the outlook app on an android app, I can't listen to attached voice mail massages .wav files. Just like you said, works fine on iOS.
Does anyone have a solution?
I agree! works fine on iOS devices but not on Android (get the same error message). When someone leaves a voicemail at my desk, the .WAV is sent to my email so I can check my voicemails at my desk via email. Works great on iOS, not at all on Android.
