How can we improve Microsoft Intune

Manage iOS updates via MDM

Manage iOS updates via MDM. Apple has supported managing iOS operating system updates since iOS9 was released. Please add this functionality to Intune. Without the ability to manage the iOS updates we have no way to ensure devices are kept up to date and are adequately secured with the latest iOS security and bug fixes.

As someone pointed out (thank you) we now have “update policies” for iOS:
Update policies for iOS let you force supervised iOS devices to automatically install the latest available software update. You have the option to configure the days and times when you do not want devices to install the update.

Agreed. As with the new bug effecting microsoft hosted email, we cannot easily prevent users from upgrading to iOS 11 or for other instances, making people upgrade out of older insecure iOS versions.

How long before this is available in SCCM? If there is a major time lag between introductions of controls between Intune on Azure and SCCM, it would be helpful to not advise users to perform the integration.

Cathy, are you going to let people know you already implemented this in Intune on Azure? It's done, when your account is moved to Intune on Azure, or if you are already there, it's there, ready to go.

This is defiantly needed, we want to move all of our iOS devices over to Intune but this is a requirement before we can.

MobileIron is offering great features for DEP enabled devices Apply Wallpaper, force OS update, Global Proxy, restrictions so on, Intune only device lock bypass! Please FastTrack this, no wonder Intune is still behind in Gartner Magic quadrant !

Any updates on a timeline for this feature? The InTune team seems to be doing well at addressing several gaps recently, but this one is still tough to manage without. We're holding off on licensing our entire fleet of iPhones until this available.

This is soooo important to us. We really need this feature.

Yes, remote OS update capabilities is one of the main reasons our company enrolled to DEP. We need this ability available to us very soon please.

I'd love to see this capability to control and/or force iOS updates on our managed iPhones.
