Support for the Apple VPP for education-program.
Apple's Volume Purchase Program for education is not supported by Intune at this time. But Apple's Volume Purchase Program for business is – how come?
In a near future we will have ~5000 ipads from our schools registered with Intune and we have a need to deploy educational apps to them from our VPP for education-account.
To me it is crazy that Intune only supports VPP for business when many of your customers work in education.
Please fix this.
We have started the process of migrating the existing Silverlight Intune admin experience onto the Azure portal.
After your tenant has been migrated, you will have access to this feature. (You can also create a new trial tenant to see the feature in preview. Please remember it’s still preview – we won’t call it final until we’ve worked out the bumps.)
I won’t set this status to “complete” until we’re truly done, but while we are in the process of rolling this out, I don’t want to tie up your votes. I’ve created a new status called “release in progress”, which will close this out for new votes, return your existing votes, but leave this item open for comments. I know everyone wants it ASAP, but it will take a few months to migrate everyone. You will be notified when your tenant is ready for use on the new Azure portal. We appreciate your patience.
Please go vote on the next things you want us to prioritize after the migration to the Azure Portal is complete. Thanks!
Thanks for the quick response.

Hi, @Martin. As long as you're running ConfigMgr 1606 or later, you should be able to use an education token with no issues. If you do have issues, please let me know.
@Martin, I will let Tyler comment on Hybrid - he's on that team and is in the know.
Thanks for the good news.
We are using Intune hybrid with System Center Configuration Manager. Will this feature be available in configuration manager as soon as the tenant migration is completed or do we have to wait for an configuration manager update?

What happened to "Intune product engineering is actively engaged with Apple to ensure that iOS 9.3 in Education features are supported for management with Intune and available in a future service update."
@Adam, have you already opened a support case to ask them to remove it? The PM who owns the feature says it should be possible. If you tried support and they said they couldn't help you, please reply with the support case number and we'll look into it.

Voting for this as I've foolishly assigned a VPP for Education token to our Intune and now I can't remove/replace it!

I feel exactly the same. I can't believe that you don't support VPP for education. I wouldn't even think that it was a very big difference. Trialing Intune at the moment but at this stage we can't use it as we use vpp for education. That's a really big turn off.
I would list that as being absolutely essential for us to use Intune.
