support Linux MDM like OS X
Could we have a Linux MDM like OS X?
Would like to be able to check Linux as trusted device in Conditional Access rules

We have over 8K Linux devices and it is very important for us to support them and manage from a single management solution. Otherwise, we need to look at a different solution that provides support for both Linux and Windows.

More than half of the developers in my company are on Linux machines. Unable to enroll those machines stops us from relying completely on MDM.
+1 Why not provide an answer to linux and cover the full spectrum. IOS, Android, Windows, MacOS and Linux
How about to bring in support like MS is doing it with JAMF for MacOS? I'm pretty sure that here is a vendor out there who is able to manage Linux. Why not providing a similar connector which just delivers the compliance state to provide at least conditional access possibilities?

Let me remind you 2 things :
- SyncML protocol is used by Intune (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_SyncML_Initiative : as you will see it is an OPEN standard). I am not aware of any Linux distro, that joined this alliance.
- Apple did its own way as usual, with a proprietary solution (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/commands_and_queries) that is using APNS.
So why are you requesting Intune to support Linux, when Linux is the culprit? MS and Apple added MDM support to their operating systems product, so why blame MS here?
You should first convince the Linux distro guys to implement an MDM protocol and support inside this OS...
I don't want to start any trolling discussion, but Linux is not a large-scale enduser operating system, so guys, continue to manage them with Chef/Puppet/Ansible/... ;-)
It is a point, why managers decide for other third party management products, if they have different client OS devices like Linux, MS, MacOS. MS managers, do not be scared from losing business, you get it back from Intune and other MS plans because of happy trendy mixed BYOD customers, willing to be in o365/azure and not to go elsewhere... (Let's INSPIRE from uservoice)
This would be good.. Thousands of Linux users using Citrix would appreciate it..

Some simple reporting features for our Linux dev boxes is what we needed.
Agreed, need Linux management option.

+1 to this.
The number of linux-based dev-boxes on our company is growing, so being able to enroll those to intune is becoming a must for us.

This is 100% needed. Please can this get bumped up the backlog !

It was the lack of Linux support that ruled out Intune for our group of companies. We're now trying out MaaS360 which has beta support for Linux.
