Make it possible to migrate from Computer (intune agent) devices to MDM devices
With the new Intune Portal within the Azure Portal the 'classic' Intune Agent gets more and more obsolete.
I don't know when the intune agent will be end of life of if it wil be end of life. (maybe something to document?)
I would like to see a possibility where the 'classic' intune agent gets uninstalled and the device gets enrolled in MDM (Intune MDM) automaticaly.
So for example, I have 300 computer devices managed by Intune through the Intune Agent. I want these computers (that are in use) to be enrolled in MDM instead of the Intune Agent in one big batch.
I can't find if this is allready possible. If so then it would be nice to know where I can find some documentation. If not then please make it possible.
Will there be a tool or click button process for migration?
+1 I'd like to see this too.
Currently the options for retiring and re-enrolling look horrible for a knowledge worker set with their device.
we have hundreds of machines geographically dispersed across a large physical area (state). we cannot easily migrate from intune classic to mdm without some sort of hands on approach.
Microsoft should provide a tool we can deploy easily to uninstall the old client and automatically enroll into MDM.
At least explain how to do this manually.. Any links please?
Absolutely need this as we have many devices that were Win7, now all are Win10 1709, and I've been manually migrating slowly when I can visit the sites. A single task would be ideal to get these devices bulk enrolled into MDM.

I'm looking at this scenario also, I WANT to migrate from PC Agent to MDM channel as it is obvious PC Agent is end of life.
I was surprised that there is not an automated trigger available or custom MSI documented to migrate a Win 10 device from one to the other. At the very least some documentation for scripting these actions would be valuable.

I really like to know how long the PC Intune Agent will be supported. If this ends, we have to get a new solution. MDM + W10 E5 to get ATP is a way to expensive solution for SMB.

It would be nice if Microsoft could elaborate on this. Besides the technical question customers of ours would like to know more because of financial planning.
Yeah, this is definitely a thing that we would be interested in as well.
Currently the documentation (or lack of documentation) is really frustrating.
When rolling out new devices, what are we supposed to do? Set them up as computers or with MDM?

I am interested on this topic as well. I have customers that rely on this tool and want to know when Intune Classic portal is going to be EOL along with the Agent.
