Add "Required" assignment option when deploying mobile apps of type "Windows store app"
At the moment, when assigning a Windows store type application to devices, there is no "Required" option available. It would be great if we could push out store apps automatically, just like one can do with MSI-type applications.
Found this when searching. I followed the link posted below and got the store for business / intune integration set up with a few clicks. Any app "purchased" in the store for business now automatically appears in my listing of available client apps and I can set them as required, and specify groups or all for deployment. Is there a particular reason OP wants to be able to do this with the standalone "windows store" type apps vs. using store for business? I couldn't see a difference in the apps that were available (and if you have Intune already, store for business should be a simple setup to do)?
Also it appears this website makes any edit turn into duplicate text?
An absolute must.. especially if you want us to start using the Microsoft Store more which I would also like to do.
By the way - I came across your issue in my implementation. To enable 'Required' option for Store apps, you need to link Intune to Store for Business. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/windows-store-for-business
I don't think this is the same thing as my idea?
We can see Assigned apps from Intune in the Company Portal app, but Required apps do not show up.
It would nice to be able to go somewhere from the user-perspective to see the list of apps deployed via Intune, and the deployment status of each. Like Software Centre in SCCM.
It would be really useful from a troubleshooting perspective.
