add Allow Pattern Unlock to the list of password options
When Intune Compliance or MDM policy is applied to Android Devices, pattern unlock is disabled. Please add Allow Pattern Unlock to the list of password options.
Adding another comment to this list. It is ludicrous that pattern lock isn't allowed as a type of lock screen. It is inherently no less or more secure than a pin, ESPECIALLY when you can allow any type of pin like 1234, or 1111 to be valid.
I'd also like to see this fixed. Pattern unlock is convenient; I won't use Outlook phone app while pin/password is required.
It is possible to enable pattern unlock by setting password requirements to 'Weak biometric' and disabling 'require encryption'.
We set pin as the minimum requirement for Android for work profile. We have no configuration on our system regarding requirements for pin or password for the personal side of the device. But we have seen that as soon as the mdm profile is applied with pin as min for work side then swipe & pattern are no longer allowed on the personal side. Our users are very annoyed by this & we cannot change this for them. please advise on any update to this behaviour for our users.
we have just implemented Intune and have a myriad of phones that users use. not having pattern on Intune is a real bummer. this is really something that is needed.
