Copy/Clone/Duplicate Device Configuration Profile
When we inevitably need to create a new Device Configuration Profile for an employee with slightly different needs than the rest of the group we must recreate an entire profile from scratch for just the smallest difference, such as longer screen lockout time. If we could duplicate/clone/copy an existing Device Configuration Profile it would save time and potential errors.

Obviously, we can already do this using Powershell/Graph, however, it would be much simpler doing it in the portal. Given that it can already be done for firewall rules, how much more work could it be to do it for other rule types?
Please get this added. -

Seems like a simple thing - would make making small adjustments for temporary needs (e.g. lengthen screen lock time) so much easier.

How many UserVoice's are required to have this basic option turned on? The basics of testing configuration profiles instead of touching production profiles. A simple request Microsoft.

Powershell. Export profile you want to clone. Change the name of the profile in json file and re-import. Done. There is even a GUI based powershell util on github to easily import and export.

This is really not a new idea. Other MDM providers had the ability in production over 4 years ago.

bumping this as it will be a hugely beneficial addition for those managing a large fleet of ipads not having to make changes on the fly to production profiles.

Hey guys,
Checkout this new Modern MDM tool we are using, they allow you to edit, remove or duplicate 1000s of policies and profiles.

Bump - this is overdue. This would help greatly with testing policies/not needing to go through the Graph API.

I've posted a guide on how to accomplish this using Graph API. It can be found here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Intune/Duplicating-Device-Configuration-Profiles/td-p/772774

How is this feature not in place already? Seems like an oversight.
