macOS platform in Mobile Application Protection MAM policies
Add the macOS to the MAM policies in the new intune portal. macOS MDM works great but having the ability to protect apps like Outlook and not manage the device would be great for security and user adaption experiences.

The fact that I can protect apps on iOS, Android, and Windows devices, but have no ability to do so on macOS leaves a gaping hole, especially in our ability to provide BYOD programs for our users. It's great that I can use this for the corporate Macs and force compliance, but to have the ability to go further and make apps and services available on the end-user workstation when they have a Mac would be a huge win.

I can't believe this gap remains open for multiple years.

Very important for MacOS BYOD

I agree with other comments and was frankly surprised it was not a capability available today.

This really would be an amazing addition. As it is now our company only allows access to corporate email from a non-corporate device through Outlook web. That works but it's not as nice as the full Outlook client, especially for Offline access.

It is needed very much for us to implement on BYOD for Mac devices and does not only limit to Windows machines.

Much needed feature.
Looking forward for this feature.

Eagerly waiting for this feature. Especially valid since there is no possibility to mark a MAC OS as 'compliant' inherently, without using Intune.

Well I see two considerations:
1. Does Microsoft want to add something specific to Office (engineering and maintaining)
2. Does Apple introduce a solution on the OS level as it did with iOS 13 and user data separation based on Apple FileSystem. Same should be possible on mac OS as it relies on APFS as well...But would sure like to see the feature!
