Company Portal - Do not display device management option for MAM-WE users
We recently received the ability to disable MDM for certain users/devices; however, this has led to inconsistencies in the Company Portal application.
On the DEVICES tab, a red exclamation point is currently displayed next to the user's device. This is the normal state for a device that cannot be managed and should be removed.
When viewing the Device Details for a device on the DEVICES tab, a red exclamation point is displayed with a message stating, "This device is not managed." Please change the exclamation point to a more positive icon if the device is not eligible to be enrolled.
When clicking the message from item 2 above, the user is given the option to manage their device. This process will ultimately (and appropriately) fail if the device is not eligible to be enrolled. In lieu of wasting the user's time, please display a message stating, "This device cannot be managed by [Company Name]," when applicable.
The message in step 3 is displayed upon authenticating into the application. I believe it is presented every time in iOS and is only displayed in Android if the user does not have any apps assigned. Do not display this message on devices that are ineligible for management.
