make Android Enterprise Widgets available on BYOD
Widgets are not available on our BYOD managed Intune devices. There does not seem to be settings in the restriction profile to manage widgets. Our users have been very vocal about the loss of mail and calendar widgets unde Android Enterprise Management.
We are happy to announce this feature is available with our September 2019 release. Thanks again for all your feedback! Please use your votes to tell us the next thing to prioritize.

Hello, I see this as a managed function in Intune. We are allowing widgets, though I've not been able to find a single device where the functionality actually works? When I attempt to place a Work Widget, the widget disappears? Doesn't work on Google devices or Samsungs?
Please could you share how?

Allow widgets from work profile apps

How can we install the Outlook widget (work profile) in the android launcher (whichever we have)? I've tried and ... nothing
Still doesn't work (Galaxy S8). Intune is a joke. MS Outlook support is totally oblivious to the problem, and has just plain gone silent on the issue. Users are NOT impressed.
Post September 2019. Not working on my Galaxy Note 9 Android 10.

do we know where these settings are for it to be enabled because it seems to still not work
where are they and how can I install? losing the widgets was a major inconvenience
What version of outlook or Intune widgets suppose to work?
Success... Email Widget from outlook now available
Found it myself but yet to test. By default Widgets from work profile apps are disabled.
To enable you need to create a profile in Intune\Device Configuration\Profiles
Under Work Profile Settings Enable Widgets and assign the profile to users
Just about to test and will report back with findings
Hi Cathy, this is great news, where can read more about it to enable the feature for our employees?
Just setup BYOD and Work Profiles and this was one of the first issues flagged.. Can you elaborate on the 2019 release please as it is still not available as of 03.10.2019

☹️ Missing option to add outlook calendar widget on Android Enterprise mode... this is very important feature for many organizations
Any update on this? I sorely miss my Calendar widget on my home.page of my Android!
nothing more to add from the stream of comments below other than enforce all the sentiments. Why is the widget not available and what a BACKWARD step.
Unfortunately Amy, I cannot add the Outlook Calendar Widget to the home screen.
If you do it wants to force enrollment as we've got App protection enabled to prevent this from occurring outside of the work profile. And widgets are NOT available in the managed Store.
Widgets are the top of the list for mobile productivity in my view.
A quick glance at your agenda throughout the day is all you need to keep on-top of things.
Really want this functionality managed within in-tune.
I also have to leave outlook un-managed in order for staff to use widgets.
Please get the widgets added to the Managed Google store.
