Assign Scope Tag for bulk of Devices
Suppose, the business has 1000+ devices, and they need to be assigned with different scope tag, its really painful to assign the tag one by one, so we would like a design change to allow Scope tag assignment for bulk of devices instead of one by one
as of the June 2019 release you can now assign scope tags to all managed devices in a security group but since that doesn’t get the OP the desired behavior, setting this to “noted”
Voting on this as I have not yet found a way to assign scope tags to managed devices using a dynamic security user group.
When I use a user group for assigning scope tags, the users' devices are not receiving the desired scope tags making it impossible to bulk-assign scope tags to devices according to user attributes such as the users' companies or countries.
Eventually RBAC cannot really be used as it might be intended due to the fact that these (sub-)admins can always see all devices unless their own company- or country-devices are being tagged manually and individually.
Can you confirm that the above behavior can be reproduced in the Microsoft labs, too? If so, any ETA for a fix/feature update?
You can do that via Graph API
Hi, unfortunately not fully. Because Dynamic Group cannot be filled with devices based on Country location. This is our main scoping policy.
@Cathy Moya We have no device groups in my org. However this is a great step in the right direction and would be very helpful if I could somehow create a dynamic device group based on UPN Like @domain.com. Do you know if this is possible?

Finally, this looks like what i need. I'm currently testing this out and will update here

I wish I could add more votes to this idea... Imagine applying scope tags individually to devices in an organization with 30,000+ mobile devices.
I can't even find a way to do this via the Graph API, yet.
I work for Los Angeles County and we have admins spanning 32 departments we would also like the ability to scope tag device in bulk.
