Critical feature request/missing Corporate-owned, fully managed user devices deleting System Apps after QR Code Enrollment
After some attempts to enroll Android devices and getting them stripped out of their system apps (provided in ROM by the manufacturer) I was able to find that the generated QR Code for enrollment is missing critical information.
I urgently ask Intune team to add the following features:
In "https://devicemanagement.microsoft.com/#blade/MicrosoftIntuneEnrollment/EnrollmentMenu/androidEnrollment", under "Corporate-owned, fully managed user devices" blade, below "Allow users to enroll corporate-owned user devices" Toggle button, add the following options:
a) Toggle Button True/False "Leave All System Apps Enabled"
b) Drop-down list "Provisioning Wi-Fi Security Type"
c) Text Box "Provisioning Wi-Fi SSID"
d) Text Box "Provisioning Wi-Fi Password"
Build the Enrollment QR Code mapping the user inputs to the following JSON:
I've tested this by generating a new QR Code from http://goqr.me/ and enrolling devices on this.
Please add this urgently as many people may have this issue.

As mentioned below, the ability to add system apps using "Android Enterprise system apps" does work. However, I have not found a way to disable system apps. Has anyone found this ability?

Yes, Intune Team added the capability silently.
We can now add system apps to the devices.
I'm testing it with kiosk devices.
I assume most of you posting have found this out, but Intune now has a section under Client Apps to add "Android Enterprise system apps". If you know the package name of the built-in app ,you can add it here and it will become enabled on the device! I used this for a built-in Zebra program called DataWedge. It was stripped on enrollment, but was re-enabled when I enabled the System App in Intune.

Have got the camera and other apps now but unfortunately, gallery still unavailable. so can't open pictures directly from the camera app. i had to download google photos.
Same issue for videos.
This is really frustrating for our users. Basics functionality of a phone that's not available. That's incredible.

I agree with the previous speakers, the system apps is kind of a must have for many of the our customers and as for now we cannot recommend intune with the fully managed mode until this is a feature.
I know the preview was updated about two weeks ago, I really hope the system apps feature is added to the next update. And as stated by Antonio the on off toggle for systems apps should be there, atleast then we have an option for it.
I'm also having the same issue. This should be included ASAP, and while I understand this is in Public Preview it would be nice to have bugs like this dealt with sooner than later.
We have the same issue. Need the camera for an app we are running in Kiosk mode. Using Samsung XCover4 phones.

This is a very urgent request, and a bug. This should not need to be raised as a "New feature". It is a failing of the current feature.
We have Samsung A40s and I've been testing the fully managed deployment. When enrolled this way, all apps on the device are either not installed or removed. This in a way is good because it removes all Samsung's bloatware, but it removes essential apps from the phone i.e. Camera and Gallery.
This is quite a large bug as built in camera apps are designed with features specific for the devices hardware. Because of this the camera apps are not on the apps store, as they are devices specific. So there is no way of getting the camera app back on the phone. Making this enrolment method for android useless at the moment.
I agree with Antonio's idea of having an On/Off toggle for keeping built in device apps. It would be even better if there was some sort of "advanced options" where you could select the built in apps to install. For example, not everyone will want the galaxy store or health app con corporate devices, but some will. So the ability to select what device apps are installed would be ideal. For now the ability to just use the camera would be nice though!
