Block cellular data for non-managed apps
The scenario is where a company deploy managed apps but allow users to install their own apps, however are concerned that a user could use an app to run up a huge amount of data (and cost), if they don't connect to their own WiFi. (e.g. movie app).
At present there is an "opposite" setting in iOS under: Device configuration - Device restrictions - Wireless - Block use of cellular data - All managed apps.
What we want is the opposite of this, to block data for non-managed apps.
Agreed, The ability to control Audio / Streaming services (YouTube / NetFlix etc) ONLY when on carrier data would make managing a large estate of devices a lot easier rather than having to look at individual carrier 3rd party restrictions which you also need to maintain on top of your Intune policies / Configurations etc.
Within InTune it would be great to limit a "category" Streaming services as an example (which you can add in various providers or URL's youtube.com/*).
This would mean users are free to use Youtube when on WiFi but are restricted when on carrier data and roaming data and can all be controlled within Intune.
On an iOS device this would be equivalent to toggling the "Use Mobile Data" option to OFF and locking it down from being amended by the user.
