inventory the version of IE in software inventory
When running the detected software report, it would be really helpful if we could get an Microsoft Internet Explorer report that shows what version(s) are installed on client machines,
This feedback was filed by a user, using the survey we had before we switched to UserVoice. Popular ideas have been moved to UserVoice.

We are also facing this issue and we are unable to get IE versions installed in the Devices. We wanted to know which version is currently used in devices sitewise. We are having many sites in Ms-Intune and we have more than 6000 plus devices enrolled to MS-Intune and planning to grow the number of devices.
If you could make it fast in making this option available in MS-Intune will really helpful.

I know this doesn't fix your issue in the report, but you can use the Software Files query to get this data from SCCM (find iexplore.exe in :\Program Files%\Internet Explorer and get file version). If you want to do this in SQL instead of WQL, here is a query I wrote to do just that:
select distinct v_R_System.Name0
, 'Internet Explorer' as BrowserTitle
, v_GS_SoftwareFile.FileVersion as Version0
, case when charindex('.',v_GS_SoftwareFile.FileVersion) > 0 then substring(v_GS_SoftwareFile.FileVersion, 1, charindex('.',v_GS_SoftwareFile.FileVersion)-1)
end as version_major
on v_GS_SoftwareFile.ResourceID = v_R_System.ResourceID
on v_GS_OPERATING_SYSTEM.ResourceID = v_R_System.ResourceID
on v_GS_WORKSTATION_STATUS.ResourceID = v_R_System.ResourceID
on v_R_System.Netbios_Name0 = v_biib_system_ou.Netbios_Name0
left join v_GS_SYSTEM_CONSOLE_USAGE
on v_r_system.resourceid = v_GS_SYSTEM_CONSOLE_USAGE.ResourceID
left join v_R_User
on v_r_user.Unique_User_Name0 = v_GS_SYSTEM_CONSOLE_USAGE.TopConsoleUser0
where v_GS_SoftwareFile.FileName = 'iexplore.exe'
and v_GS_SoftwareFile.FilePath like '%:\Program Files%\Internet Explorer%'
I also have a query that will find and merge a bunch of browsers into one report (IE, Chrome Machine, Chrome User, Opera, Firefox, and Safari) here: http://ckib.me/82njS
