inventory of -all- installed software not just the software deployed through Intune or from the Store
Today very limited reports exists for MDM, there is no report for software inventory on Mobile devices.

Agreed, my management is now requesting this, and will likely purchase a different MDM solution if Intune can't simply provide a basic report of installed apps.
Can we get a ruling on this as "planned" or "rejected" or "Noted" or something?
This has become something that has been requested to see if we ae getting false logins from an installed iOS app. We need a report run of all the apps installed on our devices.
Introduction to Software Inventory in Configuration Manager
It seems that at the moment it is possible to see all apps installed on the device if you use iOS and a Company-owned devices. For us this is working in an SCCM+Intune Environment. But our Default Device is a WP8 Phone and here there it is not possible to see all installed apps. I hope that Microsoft is able to adress this issue in Windows 10 Mobile.
you accept to enroll your device knowing your company can just wipe all of your personal data (including BYOD) but refuse to enroll of there's a software inventory. interesting...
you know what? I agree. there are some features that make much more sense to have them only on corporate-owned devices, such as block un-enroll devices.
today, unfortunately besides the enrollment account - I don't see any feature separation from a company owned device to BYOD.
This is another privacy issue. We should only be able to inventory apps on corp owned devices. It's none of my employers business what apps are installed on my BYOD device. I would refuse to enroll my device if location or software inventory were being shared with my employer.

Yes Please ..... Management wants reports on what apps are installed on our iOS devises..... our old MDM was able to give us detailed reporting.
Yup. I totally agree. PC management gives a full inventory for software, while Software Inventory for MD management just doesn't exist at all...
even free and basic MDM solutions have this ability
Good Point. We also need a Report which apps are used on our mobile devices (Windows Phone & iOS)
As of today, there's no option for admins to view the currently installed apps on devices. only the ones that were installed via Intune. black\white listing doesn't really help because they are only after users has enrolled their devices. everything that happens before the enrollment doesn't show up.
this area requires an improvement
