Retiring and deleting devices takes way too long
When working with a user on the phone, and we need to retire and reenroll a device, the process of retiring takes a very long time, which becomes frustrating for not only myself, but for the user who wants to get their problem resolved and get back to work. Please work to improve the speed for operations like this within the console,
@Manfred, we're interested - but the major focus on creating a better user experience is moving to the Azure portal. We have a lot of user experience things to prioritize. And, well, having only 8 votes from 4 supporters doesn't exactly move this to the top of the stack . . .
I can still confirm that and the initial post was from over a year ago...
It seems like Microsoft is not interested in a good user/admin experience in Intune.

I agree that selective wipe does seem to take longer than it should.
Yes, this simple task should take a few seconds max instead of ages as it takes currently.
Same thing happens to everything in Office 365 these days, such as assigning a license which takes ages as well.
All of these issues are a real pain and act against the supposed "agility" of the Cloud....
