  1. Enforce auto update for Apps in iOS devices via intune.

I'm managing my corporate devices via Intune, and according to our internal policy I have disabled the App Store and allow app instillation via company portal only to control the allowed apps.

I have problem with apps' updates, because App Store is disabled, Apps are not being updated, although I update the apps to the latest version in the company portal.

It will be necessary to be able to manage/control apps update via intune.

  2. Support for deploying App-V packages

Right now people have to use the MSI packages generated by the App-V sequencer, rather than having native handling for the .AppV package format as SCCM does. This means that people have to resort to powershell scripting, or squeezing scripts into MST transforms in order to use App-V features such as custom configuration files or connection groups.

Also the MSI packages are very unreliable since they were mainly created for test scenarios rather than live deployments - for example they fail to uninstall when an application is in use, and you have to remove the previous version manually before installing…

  3. Priority based Application deployment

Hi, It will be good if Intune provide feature of application deployment according to priority because some applications needs some prerequisite application to be deployed first.

  4. Allow clients to check in more often than 8 hours to speed up software distribution

It'd be nice to push out software more quickly than what is currently available. The current setting only allows 8 hours as the minimum time.

  5. Allow apps to be uninstalled / blocked remotely

Given the list of software in the inventory, I would like to be able to remove software that has been installed by the user, and block it from being installed in the future.

  6. Document XML configuration templates for Microsoft mobile apps for usage with Mobile App Configuration policies

It would be extremely useful if there would be some documentation library that had information about what fields etc can be pre-configured with a Mobile App Configuration policy for the Managed Apps, or even all Microsoft mobile apps.

For instance, a customer of mine want to populate the Dynamics CRM app with the server address so that end users don't have to know which one to use.

  7. Native deployment of provisioning packages as deployment type

The ability to deploy provisioning packages by Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune as a deployment type. This will introduces a lots of new opportunities to deploy/configure Windows (Mobile) 10 clients.

  8. Improve the Application deployment capabilities for Windows

Now with all the new features of Windows 10 and Intune as the no. 1 cloud management for this platform - there are so many things missing in order for application deployment feature to be a full solution.
    1. Add the ability to edit existing source files of applications
    2. add detection methods by registry VALUES or file VERSIONS like SCCM
    3. more deploy options rather than just MSI\EXE (bat, cmd, vbs, ps1 etc...)
    4. add application dependencies...

I think that in short, I can say - make the application deployment features of SCCM (that are perfect) to be available…

  9. Search, sort, and/or filter on any column in a view in the console

Please make the UI so that we can search, sort, and/or filter on any column in a view in the console? For instance I want an easy way to filter to see only apps that are for Windows, or only apps that are Line of Business, of only WSfb.... etc.

  10. Enable Delivery Optimization or BranchCache on Office 365 ProPlus

With the nice new feature Deploy Office 365 ProPlus with Microsoft Intune, it would really help if the bits and bytes from the Office 365 ProPlus were also optimized delivered (Windows 10 DO or BranchCache?) so when deploying Windows 10 with only Intune as BYO solution the clients on the same LAN do not all have to download all Office 365 Proplus bytes (~1,2 GB)

  11. Software Supersedence for Windows (Win32) Applications

Are there any plans to integrate a "Supersedence" function for win32 applications?
This would be much easier to upgrade our apps in fast cycles.

  12. Support software deployments via package installers

Windows 10 supports package installers like apt-get in Linux. Find more aoubt thins in thins TechNet article http://blogs.technet.com/b/heyscriptingguy/archive/2014/08/23/weekend-scripter-powershell-and-chocolatey.aspx
Please support software deployments via those packages in Intune.

Or at least support executing powershell scripts in Intune.

With this function it would be realy easy to deploy Software like Java, Adobe Reader, Notebat++ and so on without packageing own packages for each update and also without finding out how to perform silent installs for all of them.

  13. Remotely uninstall specific app(s) from a particular device

It is now possible to perform app selective wipe but this function is for Microsoft apps only. It is also possible to uninstall a specific app from all devices. However, there is no way to select specific apps to uninstall from a particular device. This feature is useful for troubleshooting app installation or to force-install for only one device/user.

As of the week of Nov 26, 2018, you can remove any app on corporate-owned supervised iOS devices. You can remove any app by targeting either user or device groups with an Uninstall assignment type. For personal or unsupervised iOS devices, you will continue to be able to remove only apps that were installed using Intune.

Does this fill the request, or do you need to be able to remove apps on personal or unsupervised devices?

  14. Deploy Mac VPP apps via InTune

Currently Intune only supports the deployment of iOS apps not Mac OS apps. To deploy the apps we need to rely on a separate MDM solution at a cost. We're looking to use InTune as a National solution (Australia wide) We have 100 Macs in our environment and they are becoming more difficult to manage.

I have to correct this status – we released VPP for iOS last spring, but MacOS VPP was not included at that time. We have fixed the error in the docs that made me think it was done along with iOS. However, I have confirmed that we have started this work and are eager to deliver it as soon as we can, like months, not years. I’m sorry for any confusion this caused.

  16. Remove pre installed Office or alter existing installation

More and more devices come with a version of Office 365 pre installed on the device. This is a nightmare for IT admins because the deployment of Office 365 from Intune:

A: Will not override installation parameters. For example if you deselected some Office Suite Applications like Access, it won't be uninstalled.

B: Cannot be uninstalled via a simple way. You always need a script to get rid of that pre installed version.

In my opinion there are two posibilities... 1. Stop pre installing office or 2. make it easy to alter or uninstall pre intstalled office versions using Intune.

  17. Office 365 Install (Mobile apps) - Enable all options from configuration.xml

The Intune MDM Mobile Apps Office 365 installer, "Office 365 ProPlus Suite (Windows 10)" lacks features which can be configured with XML.

With configuration.xml you can specify stuff like:
    * PinIconsToTaskbar - Very usefull
    * Logging - A lot of the installations fail. Would be neat if we could set log level and log path.
    * ForceAppShutdown
    * ForceUpgrade

Please implement more options with the built in Intune MDM Office 365 client installer.

  18. Ability to approve Surface Pro firmware updates

I was told by Microsoft Intune support team to request this feature in the Intune Feedback site because there is no way to approve New Surface Pro firmware updates. When an Intune agent is installed you cannot install the firmware updates because they do not see it. As soon as the agent in uninstalled the firmware update shows up in Windows Update

  19. Simplified Applocker whitelisting

I´d like to see a more convenient way of managing Applocker whitelisting. We´re currently deploying a restrictive applocker solution in an enterprise environment. Currently users has to send in request to helpdesk to whitelist their blocked applications. IT operations then has to edit the Applocker XML´s manually (+ maintain version control), test/validate and report back to the end users. It get´s even more time consuming when dealing with unsigned EXE´s and MSI´s. We´ve noticed that even larger software vendors are a bit sloppy with the signing part.
It would be really convenient if all blocked applications and scripts would show…

  20. Auto-update flag for "Available for enrolled devices" assignment

As of version 1710, newer version of the app was pushed to the user in "Available for enrolled device" assignment for LOB apps.

Can we have an option within "Available for enrolled devices" to prevent auto-update. We want control over when the new version of the app is pushed to the user.
