How can we improve Microsoft Intune

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. No option to disable hotspotting

Data use by employees is a big concern. Our employees currently need managers approval before we turn on hotspotting.

I don't see an option to manage hotspotting in InTune. This is definitely something that needs to be added as it can lead to very high cellular bills if employees use it when they aren't supposed to be.

    • Control roaming possibility on per app basis

Microsoft Intune should at minimal level allow policies controlling use of roaming. Depending on what is technically possible one of the following would alone enable the business case for implementing MDM

      - Control what apps are allowed to use data with Roaming
      - Control max-data transfer allowed with Roaming

To confirm, are you talking about roaming like when your cellular service is charging you more? Windows Phone already has data sense.. Are you asking for policies to control that on WinPhone? I don’t know about iOS or Android – do they have anything similar that you want control of, or is it a concept that doesn’t exist for them?
