  1. No option to disable hotspotting

Data use by employees is a big concern. Our employees currently need managers approval before we turn on hotspotting.

I don't see an option to manage hotspotting in InTune. This is definitely something that needs to be added as it can lead to very high cellular bills if employees use it when they aren't supposed to be.

  2. Control roaming possibility on per app basis

Microsoft Intune should at minimal level allow policies controlling use of roaming. Depending on what is technically possible one of the following would alone enable the business case for implementing MDM

    • Control what apps are allowed to use data with Roaming

    • Control max-data transfer allowed with Roaming

To confirm, are you talking about roaming like when your cellular service is charging you more? Windows Phone already has data sense.. Are you asking for policies to control that on WinPhone? I don’t know about iOS or Android – do they have anything similar that you want control of, or is it a concept that doesn’t exist for them?

  3. Huge Mobile date usage on Intune managed devices:

Apps are being updated via the company app store (e.g. Outlook / Word / Excel / SharePoint etc.) not only via WLAN but also via UMTS.
In case the user is not in a WLAN at the time the update is available the Apps are being downloaded via UMTS. This will cause very high Mobile Data usage as shown below in the area Systemdienste /Generell. General is always high after the automatic updates of APPs that are pushed to the device via VPP/Intune.
As there is no such option in Intune which stops the apps from updating over Mobile Data…
