How can we improve Microsoft Intune

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. enable choosing preconfigured settings of microsoft apps

Make preconfigured versions of apps possible to download so users don't have to adjust options and settings from scratch every time they install an app. This makes it easy to start working without wasting time.

  2. disable auto install or warning of new update to an application

I need to have an updated app installed in comp portal, but I do not want the users to have to install via a warning or an auto install of the app.

  4. When editing resouces like apps and policies put them in read-only mode

When editing Resources like apps and policies put them in read-only mode so that if other admins access them the same time they are unable to edit the resource and potentially ***** up and they will also see that admins are actually working on the specific item.

  5. Please add option to block Guided Access in Accessibility feature in iOS.

Please add option to block Guided Access in Accessibility feature in iOS.
In supervised mode users have option to go to Settings-General-Accessibility and enable the Guided access fature. This will alow the user to set and passcode protect a specific app on start up which deems the iOS device unusable for other users.

  8. Allow Conditional Access for PCs with Intune Client

We would like Conditional Access to be compatible with the Intune Client installed on Windows 10 PCs joined to Azure AD.

Currently it is not compatible, as we just confirmed with a Microsoft support case. They pointed to this link:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/deploy-use/restrict-access-to-exchange-online-with-microsoft-intune

The link quotes "Conditional access isn't supported on PCs that are running the Intune computer client."

We had to uninstall the Intune Client and re-enrol the PCs as "Mobile devices", but lost the ability for software deployment, windows update compliance reporting, and antivirus and firewall management.

  9. icon not appearing correctly

I installed the latest version of Company Portal for iOS today (v 3.9.0)

When you login the featured apps and recently published apps are now shown immediately.

The issue is the LOB application icon is not displayed correctly in this screen or the 'Get this App' screen. The line around the border at the corners is not displayed.

However when you click the Get this app button and it goes into the portal the app icon is displayed fine.

  10. Web apps when migrating to standalone

Handle web apps so we don't get duplicated when moving a device from hybrid to standalone. Currently IOS apps are handled correctly but web links will be duplicated if they where deployed in sccm before migration and a new deployment to the same site and name are created in standalone. As the web links are deployed it is also not possible for the user to remove them so we either end up having to remove the enrollment profile or with a mess of icons. First removing the web link from SCCM before moving the device is hard to do in…

  11. Reset this PC should revert back to Enrollment Status Page if it is enabled

If a device runs through Autopilot using the Enrollment Status Page, this ensures that the Intune Management Extension and Required apps are installed before the user logs in.

However, if the same device runs through Reset this PC the user experience is different. The device lands at the login page and lets the user log in without the Enrollment Status Page. This can be confusing for the user while they wait for the Intune Management Extension and Required apps to install in the background.

  12. Azure AD devices - Access device management blade quickly

My apologize for the title of this idea which might not be ideal.

What I noticed in Intune is when you got to "Azure AD devices", click on a specific device name, display its properties and click on "Manage" you end with the full list of devices as if you have clicked on "All devices".

I would be great if we could end directly on the "Overview" page of the device and NOT have to find the device again and display its "Overview" page.

    In other words,

    From this :
Azure AD devices list > find device > click on…

  14. The ability to logout current user for company owned iPhones.

Intune: The ability to logout current user for company owned iPhones. There are some cases when users leaving the company returning iPhones being still signed in with their Apple ID which makes impossible to re-use the phone. Thanks.

  15. add an option for registering android app use in windows

There could be an option created that lets users register android app use. With 5 ui form components and very simple it can note on the system details about Android app use.

    The five Components:

    Checkbox1 (future)
    Checkbox2 (present)
    Listbox (yesterday, today, tomorrow)
Progress bar (the progress of a timer in hours)
Edit text output (app use history log, new...copy, inputted text, etc)

  17. Possibility to transfer license file to device

Some mobile apps like AntiVirus require user to enter license code or MDM to deliver license file to Android device. It would be important for Intune to be able to deliver both app AND license file related to app to device.

  18. Device Configuration Profiles do not show how many URIs are commanded

When deploying TEMPLATED profile, you see how many "settings" are under the template Such as TEAMS is "19", WIFI policy is 10.

Yet, when Admins build Configuration profiles, and add more than 1 setting URI, Intune does not update to show how many there are when looking at the Profile Properties, Settings is a Tab which always shows 1.

    That, is incorrect.

  19. Quarantine newly enrolled devices

Could it be possible to have a quarantine for newly enrolled devices?
That ways admins can centrally approve or deny connections?
e.g. everyone has a smartphone, but perhaps not all staff are in theory permitted to have mail etc on their device.

  20. Device health attestation report restart count field

In the Device health attestation report there is a field called "Restart Count".
You would've thought that this field refers to:
Restart Count: amount of times a device has restarted, but no.

It actually means the amount in milliseconds that have passed since last restart of the device. This is not really useful information or it is in some way, but the point is that the name of field is misleading because you think it means amount of times the device restarted but is not.
Can this field name be changed to something more meaningful and related to the information…
