Hi, if you caught our announcements at Ignite, we announced that we will support device owner mode for Android fully managed corporate devices. It will preview by end of year. Check out our EMS blog for more info

So we’ll call this “started”. :-)

Also, we’ve been supporting Android kiosk mode since July.

It's crazy this still has nothing from MS about development here.

Don't make people pick between Intune and Android... you're probably going to lose.

+1 I'd like to see this too.

Currently the options for retiring and re-enrolling look horrible for a knowledge worker set with their device.

I can't believe this needs to be a request, let alone one that's nearly 3 years old.

The PMs involved have been talking about how best to give you a way to disable the “remove device” action. They think rather than focusing on platform enrollment types (iOS, Android, Windows), they could allow you to disable based on corporate vs personal ownership. I said I’d ask if that would work for you. :-)

Would that get you want you need?

Better if the client isn't needed, but currently it is. It's bonkers that this is released as anything other than beta.

This provides some useful insight - https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/71c182a7-3509-48cd-bfb8-3ac23d8dbf5a/maddening-windows-10-and-intune-problem?forum=microsoftintuneprod#73091780-a12d-4630-b38d-126bfe863c93. (Now over 12 months old at the time of posting this).
