It would also be helpful to be able to search in Device groups. Currently have to scroll continuously to find a device to remove it from the group.
I agree, it's so difficult to remove devices from a device group. I am literally scrolling through to find the device name and then I usually miss it and have to scroll again. Also it would be nice to be able to search the device name and for it to display the groups its been assigned to.
This is a much needed feature, which was available in the Classic Intune Portal but hasn't migrated across to the Azure console.
I’m moving this to the Ideas, since it’s a new feature we’d have to consider
This is a important and much needed useful feature. In Android we can block Chrome & Google Play Store which eliminates unwanted usage on the company owned phones but then the option to now be able to block Hot spotting & tethering eliminates unwanted usage because our users connect to their personal phones which allow them to browse & stream data and is costing us unwanted Mobile Data usage.
I can confirm that work on this feature is underway, but I don’t have any details to share about timing.
The PMs involved have been talking about how best to give you a way to disable the “remove device” action. They think rather than focusing on platform enrollment types (iOS, Android, Windows), they could allow you to disable based on corporate vs personal ownership. I said I’d ask if that would work for you. :-)
Would that get you want you need?
I agree. The polocies for Android for work should be the same as the Coventional Android device enrolment. I need to redeploy conventionally enrolled Android devices with the Adnroid for Work Google Playstore so that employees can only acess the company applications. In the conventional Policy it allows me to block the Standard Google Playstore. I want to be able to have the Standard GooglePlay Store to be blocked so employees don't misuse Mobile data and only have the Android for work Google Playstore open for only Company Applications. My Devices have Samsang Knox so they meet the requirements. This would be a great feature to add to Azure to make it more better performance wise.
I agree, Android Device names should be editable in Intune - it would make differentiating between users/devices easier.
If Intune Portal is moving to Azure - will this feature be available over there.
Thanks for your help. I will be sure to check out the other forums.
@Cathy .. Also another question would be how do you change the ownership from Personal to Corporate?
Again thanks for your help, it is much appreciated.
@Cathy thanks for your reply.
Yes i think that better describes my issue.
Please do let me know how to do this as it would make it easier for me to distinguish between the devices if they were named correctly.
