Thanks, @Nathan. If there’s consensus that Known Folder Move meets the requirements of this request, I can call it “started”
“We are working to integrate the ADMX/ADML packages KFM with Windows Intune later this year.”
Here’s some more information about the public preview for Win32 app deployment.
And the video from Ignite: https://myignite.techcommunity.microsoft.com/sessions/64593?source=sessions#ignite-html-anchor
For those of you adding additional suggestions in the comments, please create them as new suggestions. When Win32 app deployment comes out of public preview, we’ll call this one complete and I don’t want your requests to get lost!
Thanks again for your support!
A good example of where this is a problem. Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables. All of these are provided in .exe. I've got a number of .msi packages which need visual C++ install first. I cannot do this with the MDM approach.
This would make the MDM Windows 10 option far more viable and remove the need for the Intune agent.
Now App-V is baked into 1607 this is a must.
The main reason people want the Intune agent over using MDM is the greater flexibility in running MSI with transforms/msp patches or .Exe. if this was supported via MSN then needing the client would be less relevant.
