Can you tell us more about what you need to control on Apple TV devices? Are you talking about devices in conference rooms, or are you using them for kiosks?
We have Apple DEP enabled on all Apple product, without the DEP profile for tvOS, we are stuck with this error when try to setup manually. : The configuration for your Apple TV could not be downloaded from "company name". Invalid Profile.
If setup with device, we got the following error:
Unable to set up. This Apple TV is remotely managed and unable to start setup.
Yes, this is for demo purpose in the conference. To connect to iOS devices to cast screen.
We are experiencing the same issue. The duplicate certs are issued twice on iOS device only. Although it is not affecting the functionality, but it will definitely double the work load and taking extra resources. We can confirm that WiFi profile will cause the duplicate if you use ROOT certs or SCEP certs for the WiFi authentication. According to support engineer, this is by design. I would highly recommend the product team to consider a fix.
I agree that will be nice to be able to search based on SN or IMEI/MEID. (instead of device name, email or UPN.) It will be nice if we could name the device during enrollment or apply a profile to change the device name with variables like SN or User login name.
btw, there is a filter button which allow you to show the device with specific IMEI, SN and others.
I know it’s not a total, perpetual block, but as of the week of August 27 you can configure the days and times when you don’t want devices to install any updates. In a future update, you’ll be able to delay when a software update is visibly shown on the device, from one to 90 days.
When we deliver the 90-day delay, is that good enough to call this complete? As @Daniil points out, that’s what’s Apple is offering now. And it’s not great to get yourself too out of date with updates.
It will be nice if we could assign the compliance policy to "ALL" enrolled devices. For example, passcode.
The work-around is to create a dynamic group which includes the device with matching device properties, and then assign the compliance policy to that group.
