In case you haven’t seen it, at Ignite in September we introduced the concept of co-management with Configuration Manager and Intune both managing the same device. https://channel9.msdn.com/Events/Ignite/2016/BRK2138-TS
If you already have ConfigMgr, it makes sense for now to consider this configuration to address app deployment.
Hi Cathy. first of all - amazing! that was a super fast response
the OMA-DM client is great for management in terms of policy style settings. correct me if I'm wrong but the client doesn't help me with deploying applications.
I have SCCM to cover all my internal employees app delivery.
now I was hoping that Intune could help me with delivering apps to the home users \ BYOD users with Windows 10.Tamir Levy shared this idea ·
you accept to enroll your device knowing your company can just wipe all of your personal data (including BYOD) but refuse to enroll of there's a software inventory. interesting...
you know what? I agree. there are some features that make much more sense to have them only on corporate-owned devices, such as block un-enroll devices.
today, unfortunately besides the enrollment account - I don't see any feature separation from a company owned device to BYOD.
Yup. I totally agree. PC management gives a full inventory for software, while Software Inventory for MD management just doesn't exist at all...
even free and basic MDM solutions have this ability
What do you mean by that?
there is a possibility to push policies to iOS and Android devices.
Security policies, Hardware, browser, MAM, etc...
what would you expect exactly?
I can confirm this work is started. We’ll let you have more details about release when we have them.
