    We have this issue too, its not a Intune issue but it is an Assigned Access issue within Windows 10. The last part of applying Assigned Access is to apply tablet mode.

    Because tablet mode does not support dual displays, when the autologon account attempts to log in, it will be signed out straight away.

    For W10 devices running 1909, we we only have a handful of dual display kiosks, we could get around this by unplugging the 2nd display after the new profile had applied and then plugging it back in once the PC is logged in. The issue would not re-present itself until a new Assigned Access profile had been applied, we would just then repeat the above process to allow these PCs to work.

    With Windows 10 2004 and 20h2, this workaround no longer works.

    The support ticket with Microsoft has concluded that in order for this to work, i must reconfigure all of out kiosks to apply all components of assigned access seperately (AppLocker, Power Settings, Personalisation settings and autologon account etc).

    It would be good if Assigned Access could be changed to allow IT Admins customize what components apply from Assigned Access, eg: turn Tablet Mode off which will allow the existing config most organizations use to continue to work.

    Benno, if you have a workaround, we would love to see if it works for us also, as reconfiguring these PCs is not ideal.

    We have Hybrid Azure AD devices and we are silently encrypting them with no issues. Have you read the documentation?

    We deploy a custom Assigned Access CSP XML for Kiosk Mode instead of using the kiosk profile, this allows us to specifically list each exe.

    If you want to use the Kiosk profile you mentioned, you can just use "zoom.us.Zoom Rooms" as the AUMID, it will not matter. Just specify a custom start layout so all defined executables in the kiosk profile do not appear in the start menu
    If you want to use the Assigned Access CSP in a custom profile, you can include this in your constructed XML for all zoom exes.
    See snip from my XML:
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\ZoomRooms.exe" rs5:AutoLaunch="true" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\DigitalSignage.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\Zoom_Launcher.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\Installer.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\zrairhost.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\zrcpthost.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\zrusplayer.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\cptcontrol.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\cptinstall.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\cptservice.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\zaapi.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\zcrashreport.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\zcechelper.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\AOMHOST\AOMHOST64.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\mDNSResponder.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\BCAIRHOST.EXE.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\apec3.exe" />
    <App DesktopAppPath="C:\Program Files (x86)\ZoomRooms\bin\conmon_server.exe" />

    Curious, do you use dual displays with kiosk mode?

    This is a massive pain point for our organisation.

    The workaround of adding the user/device to an exclusion group that has the uninstall for the specific application deployed to it is not time efficient for support staff or end users.

    As mentioned in other comments, its quicker to reset the device and re-provision it, instead of waiting for the above process.

    Alternatively, MS could provide IT Pros the ability to install/remove an application from the EMAC console for a device?

    Regards,

    Jason

    I can't believe this has not gotten more votes.

    It would be great to have the inventory for discovered apps alot more frequent. Especially for businesses that write business cases and use apps on devices to to either combat or justify the requirements being stated by business units.

    Having this data would make business decisions easier, smarter and save businesses alot of money when purchasing iOS specific devices - especially when the difference between a lower/higher spec iOS device is quite considerable.

    I cant believe this is not a thing.
    We have a similar scenario, we have kiosk W10 PCs. If you log out of the kiosk user, you land at the sign in screen (obviously). But it allows anyone with an AAD account for our org to sign in to the device - and there is no way to restrict it!! How frustrating.
