Some of the guys are on an MS training course that mentioned using Policy Sets. I have just taken a look and agree, they definitely need some work. Currently no support for Win32 apps (packaged with IntuneWinAppUtil), Administrative Templates, or the more recently introduced Settings Catalog.

Until all these options are available, Policy Sets aren't that useful.

This is becoming more of a requirement for us as we're getting customers with more complicated application installations. But even just, as many have pointed out, getting a custom start menu deployed at the right time. Maybe it's because I've come from SCCM, but Intune is still lacking too many basics in my opinion.

I agree that this would be a great idea. From my perspective, I want to use this as a way to keep applications up to date on devices where they are installed and they are only deployed as available from the Company Portal.

Currently it is up to the user to go into the portal and install the new version - like that ever happens.

This would be great. I'm looking at this from the point of view of updating applications on a small fleet of Win 10 laptops that are spread worldwide. It would even be nice to just use the same maintenance window as Software Updates uses.
